Pop's treatment of Sager was all for show, that should've been obvious after the last time his cancer was announced.

Sad news though, hopefully he spends his remaining time with his family.

I've seen some people live just over a year after recurrence. Unfortunately the 3-5 year survival is virtually nil. Hopefully he can buck the odds.

Great run Craig, you'll be missed.

Hate to use "normal" you understand as a student of math and stats... but yeah thats common. Depends on a number of factors too. It's really muddy but 5 year survival rates are roughly one in four after initial diagnosis (for all ages). He was diagnosed over two years ago I believe and I have no clue as to what the severity was at the time of diagnosis (white counts, etc.). Also wonder if his myeloid leukemia transformed from chronic to acute. Those cases are inherently more difficult to manage.

At any rate Sagers outlook is quite grim. I just hope that the days he has left are filled with a good quality of life and much joy.

looks like he's 80 years old in that picture. Obviously didn't help that he was overweight before the initial leukemia started. Acute myeloid leukemia is fairly rare and difficult to treat unlike the more common chronic leukemia

got a neighborhood friend who had tongue cancer which spreaded to other parts of his body...cut the tongue off and only dragged it out to see how long he can live

instead of living a good life, he goes and continue to be a wanker of society, trafficking....cops wouldnt arrest him knowing he could die any moment and it be a waste of taxpayers money

well clown went to vietnam this month, lol drove around in a scooter and just died from what i heard, no accidents or anything...

another friend got cancer also, he left it late going to hospital to get chemo, instead spend the last few months drinking booze, smoking more to get it over and d one with...passed away in his sleep in hospital

They should leave the man be in the interviews. It gets no more personal than death. He's fortified himself in order to live what's left. Coming at him with "fight" is great for "you" --- but is torture for him. He does not want to cry with you.

Agreed. He's there to forget the fight for a few hours, not be reminded of his pending death at every dead ball.

And to think someone like Flip Saunders' body went kaput from the first and only chemo round for a curable low-stage cancer.
