Last victory in Brazil for a FIFA tournament was in 1950. We've defeated them in finals in their own home floor for cops America though... But yeah..: the jinx is huge there. Forlan once scored a hat trick to put us 3-0 and Ronaldo tied it in loss time for the 2006 qualifiers...

Defensor. Raised Carbonero but when my cousin started playing in the League after having gone through all youth division for Defensor, after going to see him play so many times I ended up falling in love with them and never went back (even after my cousin was transferred to Penadoy). It's the ULTIMATE trolling position to be in TBH. You can give either bolsos o manyas shit depending on who's doing worse ;)

In Argenland I like Independiente TBH.. I was there in the Libertadores de America when aguero scored the goal starting behind the half pitch and Simeone was Racing's DT. 4-1 Independiente... a day to remember the rest of my life :P

Paraguay's coach screwed up too. He started well, but he should have changed Santa Cruz with a speedy guy to counter-attack in the 2nd half. Decided to fully defend too soon and paid the price in the end. Brazil basically had no defense in the last 10 minutes.

If Brazil keeps this up they won't get to the WC, tbh.

Ecuador already has 13 pts and with the advantage of playing at home in the altitud they have a big chanve of getting enough pts to qualify. That leaves only 4 spots left (one of them being the repechaje against New Zealand) which are now held by Uruguay, Argentina, Chile and Colombia. All teams that, besides having more pts, are arguably better than Brazil. Cariocas must be seriously shitting bricks right now.

Did I say anything about the leader? Do you play in the altittude?

I talked specifically about Ecuador and the advantage they have over Brazil 'cause I don't think they are better than Brazil, but given the circumstances they might actually get in.

Kind of quiet in here... three days left for the oldest and TRUE classic in world futbol...

lol any European nation debating they have a classic with more history and tension than an Argentina - Uruguay

Some random data in preparation for the classic:

- Uruguay never got a single point in WC qualifiers while in ARG soil
- Argentina leads the all time match ups in vitories
- Uruguay has won (twice defeating the host nation) last two Copa America's hosted in Argentina while both times they had the best player in the world and one of them the same roster that rang in 86.

Argentina 3-1 with Messi ballin' TBH
Only chance we get a point it's in a 0-0 bore unless some sort of extra motivational shit rubs Suarez the wrong way but he won't beast on God's turf TBH...

Don't post again dude. Your only argument about Germany- Italy (the other ones dont deserve even to be mentioned) is the amount of rings of either...

At the beginning of the century as y'all were killing each other and flocking south to us we were already playing some of the most epic futbol battles in the world... you'll NEVER witness more closeted hatred or big daddy secret love affair among MANY other complexes in a soccer match that only a Uruguay - Argentina provide. Seen soccer in Europe... you have no idea what you're talking about if you've never seen a match in Argentina, Brazil or Uruguay (especially in Argentina)

Seen soccer in Europe... you have no idea what you're talking about if you've never seen a match in Argentina, Brazil or Uruguay (especially in Argentina)

son I was talking about a true rivalry and what a classic really is, two contenders playing at the highest level in world cup high stakes games, throughout years of history not 100 years ago. That's my definition of classic. I won't argue that uruguay-argentina isn't a great rivalry, i'm saying that from a football level standpoint you get more in terms of football with any germany-italy-france pair. Classic = highest quality, contested, history filled matches. You can't argue this tbh.

I can't say there is real hate between the NT teams on the pitch (except battiston level shit or highly political games like england-germany in '66 or soviet union-germany in the 60s) and up here we hate each other for millenia of wars, economic oppression, genocide .. you know, shit worth hating for ... football isn't really hate level here, more trolling than hating. If you want to talk about real hate not cheap south american bravado then serbia-croatia trumps anything you can imagine down there with people constantly getting killed at matches, matches played on empty stadions, genocide chants, minorities hiding during match time and uefa handing bans to both players and federations like candy. Both are wc-level teams too with plenty of talent.

all good and yeah, have seen some videos from Croatia- Serbia which are very VERY bad I agree with your post.

now on to the Futbol facts that we could use to determine rivalry and sorry, France has the one WC and some Euros so they don't qualify to this consideration...

How Many WC Finals have Italy - Germany played? 0
How Many WC Finals have Argentina - Uruguay played? 1
How Many Eurocup Finals have Italy - Germany Played? 0
How Many Copa America Finals have Argentina - Uruguay played? 10
How Many times have either team won a Eurocup/Copa America in the other country's turf? (I don't want to bring 06 into this because I can't even imagine the pain if Italy is indeed your classic rival) Uruguay (2) on Argentina

So now tell me again how an Italy- Germany is a bigger classic than Argentina - Uruguay?

smh

Before finals there are a lot of decisive games... if you take France - Germany, the two games people are talking about is 82, one of the greatest WC game ever... Germany coming back from 2 goals down in extra time, first game going to penalty and the Batiston incident.. crazy. Then you have 86, France just won the Euro, Platini in his prime, we defeated Italy and Brazil of Socrates, Germany was in Semi Finals after defeating Morocco and Mexico with a very pedestrian team and yet they defeated us 2/0... beginning of a long inferiority complex... A whole generation hated Germany after 82.... If you consider the numbers of wars, the Millions of French killed by German and Millions of German killed by French... (still remember my grand father (ww2 veteran) crying in front of its TV when Germany had been invited to parade in Paris in Champs Elysee for the July 14th in 94) it is quite incredible to see the friendship and cooperation between those two countries.

then again saying Arg / Uru greatest classico is kind of dumb... A classico per definition matters for those who are involved like a PSG / Marseille or a Bastia / Ajaccio (crazy one btw) but rarely others give two shit about...

Few are the classico interesting most of people worlwide and Arg / Uru is not one of those.. nobody gives a shit outside those two countries... Nowadays you have the: Brazil / Argentina, Real / Barça, Germany / Italy, River / Boca and maybe a few others but thats about it. So yeah maybe 100 years ago it mattered, today... not

it hurts doesn't it? Not knowing enough about soccer to understand the most historic rivalry EVER even before Europe became relevant on the sport they created, even before Brazil was any good at it. all good and yeah, have seen some videos from Croatia- Serbia which are very VERY bad I agree with your post.

So now tell me again how an Italy- Germany is a bigger classic than Argentina - Uruguay?

croatia-serbia aren't very very bad, look at the quality on those teams. they are not italy-germany or argentina-brazil (old brasil not this abomination) but they are good teams. Croatia would easily be a top 5 team in SA.

if you count all knockout games played between germany, italy and france in world cup history you get significantly more germany-italy/germany-france/italy-france games than argentina-uruguay. You also see these games are scattered throughout history not 100 years ago. You'll also see tremendous classic games, games that have been called "the greatest in world cup history".

In a continent with so many contenders it's hard to meet in the finals so your copa america argument is statistically useless. Also how many of these matches were played in the last 50 years?
Such a salty post tbh.

Also fyi france-italy was a better game than argentina-urugay. That dyabala tackle fucking amateur hour :lmao

Living conditions my friend. You guys live in another planet from a life quality perspective and the environment on any of the cities in South America aren't up to par for children. Maybe when there's a GOAT Gay coach in Germany?

if you count all knockout games played between germany, italy and france in world cup history you get significantly more germany-italy/germany-france/italy-france games than argentina-uruguay. You also see these games are scattered throughout history not 100 years ago. You'll also see tremendous classic games, games that have been called "the greatest in world cup history".

In a continent with so many contenders it's hard to meet in the finals so your copa america argument is statistically useless. Also how many of these matches were played in
Do you REALLY want me to add knock out games to the history of the oldest NT rivalry we're considering here? May I suggest you check them stats before I proceed to bring them?

son you can't put living conditions on coach salaries, wtf, you all are football fiends and your federations are rich as fuck because of this. Are the federations so corrupt to not have a couple of million $$ extra per year for a solid coach. I mean, I look at brasil, colombia, argentina and they have talent but they are coached like amateur teams imo. Argentina are getting by just because they are so fucking talented. Frankly I am disgusted by the number of horrible of the tackles (e.g. colombia-venezuela, dyabala) I see in south america, in europe they'd be left out of the team for pulling shit like that. Even france who are a traditionally more impulsive/nig side are decently disciplined. I mean fuck, these are basics and they've been biting south american teams in the ass since as long as I can remember. And don't give me euro examples because even if there are rare incidents you never see such rampant disregard for fundamentals.

I also want to point out that uruguay were decently coached tbh, consistently one of the best in SA, they just lack talent across the board.

also nice to see that brasil seems to be producing decent strikers again with gabriel jesus, doesn't fuck around looking for embellishments, stop & shot.
also lol @ jamez rodriguez missing 2 penaldos in a game, what a fagggot tbh.

I was being ironic son, since Alario is a forward and Bauza played him in defense ala Eto'o in Mourinho's Inter.

He wanted a nigga who could hold the ball and set some counterattacks for Messi, also given the fact that Argentina had 10 players.
He played well tbh (another debutant like Dybala), he even dribbled three Urucry players in one play.

about time tbh, among the euro contenders you are the last one to ring, besides netherlands who always choke. Speaking of '98, that dutch squad son!! they were stacked like fuck : bergkamp, seedorf, davids, stam, van der saar, van bronkhorst, kluivert, de boer brothers ... all in their fucking peak, imo without them giving brasil a tough semifinals france would've had a much harder time winning the finals.

And wtf is happening these days with football, italy(except defenders)/netherlands/brasil just don't produce the talent they used to. Fucking greed man, they all want to stay on a fucking bench at some champions league contender instead of playing a lot and really developing as players and leaders. Beta generation tbh. :depressed

so with argentina's drought of anything but offense oriented players will we in a couple of years see a new brand of total football with a backline of misty, aguero, di maria and piguain covering (literally) the post? :lol

Brazil 98 was quite stacked too... France had a great defensive block but offense was quite terrible, Trezeguet, Henry were very young... we were playing fucking Guivarch probably the worst 9 on a championship team ever :lol

It's a shame Conmebol teams play ugly football whenever there's a Copa America or the elimination games, they have the "different" players in the world but they can't display there skill because of the constant fouls and how afraid the teams are Messi will own them that they have to send 4 players to guard him tbh..

i know a lot of southies tske pride of playing rugby football but European football is much more attractive now

Always playing friendlies in the USA and against shit tier competetion like Canada or Honduras.. But that's the federations fault for always seeting up those games because of $$

7-0 can be forgotten son, hell even Bolivia spanked that Argie ass 6-0, you guys spanked Brazil but they look like they're getting over that mental block, won the gold and beat Ecuador right in their own home after being undefeated since 2009.. Don't be surprised if Brazil starts to be legendary again.
