Not considering what it would cost to get him....would you want him on the Spurs?

Sure. He's shown a good amount of promise as a 20 year-old PG. I don't see him as a franchise player but I do think he'll be an all-star.

I wouldn't mind having him on board. Would be the best point guard on the team next year. That isn't saying a whole lot obviously, but you get the point.

Right now the Lakers are filled with young players who are immature and finding their way. A team with veterans and a no-nonsense coach could do wonders for his maturity and his career.

After TP has seen how hot Boban's wife is, I'm sure he'll lobby for him, tbh.

I'd take him too. With a veteran laden team, the Swaggy P incident would quickly be forgotten.

Yes

it's the Lakers own fault for having a complete waste of space idiot like Swaggy P in the first place. That can never lead to anything not stupid and speak volumes about their horrible culture.

Lakers compromising a very good talent like Russel, maybe even losing him, would be hilarious though.

Good job Lakers!

Imagine how salty Lakerfan would get if SA somehow got him, and he ended up being a key star player in SA staying on top of the west

Of course, we could finally find out if the Spurs players are loyal to their spouses/significant others.

Sure. After he passes AIDs screening sure. Anyone coming from that team needs to be screened.

Social media is part of the young phaggot culture whether we like it or not. He should be given a chance to make amends for this and I agree a veteran team that is not an entertainment industry joke he could end up doing very well.

Price should be excellent too.

Possibly, and the newspaper in SA is amateurish at best. TP is lucky that he was on a team that had playoffs to look forward to and that the teammate in question had recently retired.

We have threads on the front page about guys welching on anonymous-online bets, some guy who needs to make more Patty Mills threads, avoiding the Grizzlies, and Pop getting over himself (to name just a few).

You have a very selective Uninteresting-Shit-O-Meter. :lol

But it isn't just about TP acting like a porn star, it's about his night life in general. He would've been murdered about his eye injury in L.A. no matter that it wasn't his fault. They would've been saying he needs to stop partying so much. Or all the other times he puts his foot in his mouth...give him a Lakers jersey, and his career might be over by now, unfortunately.

First of all, NBA TV didn't devote a half an hour last night to talking about grandma-fucker welching on a bet, and second, you assume that I find any of those topics interesting.

Damn right I'd bring him on board. Him with Leonard and Aldridge slams the window open another decade

I wanted us to make a trade for Clarkson before the trade deadline when it was rumored that the Lakers were interested in moving him in order to avoid having to pay him what he is expected to garner under his new deal. I expect the Lakers are now more inclined to keep Clarkson and move Russell.

If this were a couple of years ago, I'd jump at the opportunity. But now, the team is in transition more in the locker room than on the court. If Manu and Tim both hang 'em up after this season, we will be very hard pressed to replace them on the floor, but it will be virtually impossible to replace them in the locker room. I simply do not see anybody (with the possible exception of DWest) ready to fill their leadership roles in the locker room. When HOFers speak, you listen. Perhaps Tim has one more year in him, and perhaps that exposure would be sufficient to turn around Russell.

Probably depends on how consistent his outside J becomes, tbh. The thing that disappoints me is he's not the great passer he was hyped to be. If he were, his shot would only have to get up to adequate.

No, I completely agree with you, but what makes the LA stuff notoriously uninteresting is that ESPN and NBATV seem to spend hours talking about it because it's the Lakers. It should pretty much prove to Lakerfans that they don't get talked about because their team is great, or because they're so polarizing, it's just because they have a the largest number of idiot fans and what might make the front page for a day on any other team's message board ends up being discussed on sports radio and TV because all the moronic fans drive the content.
