SAN ANTONIO -- Kawhi Leonard appeared to come down awkwardly on his left knee during a routine 5-on-5 scrimmage at the team's practice facility today. An MRI is expected to be conducted today regarding the damage, but initial prognoses appear unfavorable for Leonard as he was helped off the court by teammates David West and Matt Bonner as well as the Spurs' long-time athletic trainer, Will Sevening.
The San Diego State product has had considerable history of injuries during his short NBA career to this point, including knee tendinitis and hand injury. He leads the team in scoring with 20.9 points per game in 67 games this season, all of which he has started.
