Not sure, it hasn't happened enough times but I'm thinking there will be some "but they were hurt" or "they are tired, nothing to lose, just out there getting exercise and having fun mostly" comments from SAS and the crew.

Knowing this team we'll fucking lose tomorrow :lol Seems like we always have a let down whenever GS loses. Hopefully I'm wrong though.
I'd really like to see us go for 41-0 but I just don't see Pop going for it. I'd be pretty surprised if he plays everyone against even one of OKC/GS...much less both.

Pop's not going for 41-0, he'll probably rest players in the GS home game and almost certainly will in the OKC game.

Uh, Spurs are more likely to lose one than go undefeated. But it's a nice thought at least.

And that wasn't a coincidence. Boston played great at Oracle last season.

we aint going 41-0. Popovich will forfeit a game before that happens. And I'm not talking about resting players, I'm talking about a full forfeit.

Time to take that home record and shove it up Klay's arse, then Steph can slurp it back out and spit it all over Draymond's stupid donkey looking face.
NBA did everything they could to help them edge past the Celtics... Draymond throwing people to the ground twice in the last 0.30 and no call... ridiculous. Brad Stevens :bobo

And they'll neglect the fact that Boston was on the 2nd night of a back-to-back.

I hope the playoff schedule tires them out as well. You can't just toy with the competition and not expect any rust.

Pop will more than likely rest players on the road, but I expect him to have the full strength rotations at home, though he might reduce some players minutes in those games.

as long as we keep it in striking distance.... win or loose, its a win if theyre starters play heavy minutes :downspin:

I didn't care much about the 41-0 home record because I thought it was a foregone conclusion that the Warriors would match it. Now that the Spurs are alone, I'd say it would be really nice to have it, as it's not something that's going to be easy to match...

would have been hard...not to say impossible... for both teams to go 41-0

Spurs lose to the Raps tonight, GUARANTEED. Take the straight-up and ca$h in, baby!
Now that the Spurs are alone, I'd say it would be really nice to have it
That's a lot more sensible than a lot of the comments about it being an important goal. I'll give you this - if the Spurs go on to win the Championship, it would be nice to be able to say that the 6th Championship was the year they went undefeated at home. But if they lose to GSW in the WCF, I think that home record won't be much of a consolation prize.
But I don't think, not even a tiny bit, that Pop's strategy will be affected by it. He'll be focused on nothing but getting the team ready for the playoffs. If he thinks beating Golden State at home one last time will help with that, then he'll go all out for it. But I wouldn't be surprised to see him sit at least two starters in that game. I've watched him every season he's been here, and nothing he's ever done suggests that he will chase a record for its own sake.

Just noticed that the game against OKC will be their final game of the season, and also the 2nd game of a b2b. Considering they'll almost surely have the 3 seed locked up by then, I think there's a decent chance that they'll have guys sitting out for rest.
21209
04-03-2016, 11:21 AM
Even on the second end of a b2b, I don't see the Warriors resting anybody for the game in SA, especially if 73-9 is still in their grasp. Also, I'd think they'd want to not only give the Spurs their first home loss, but also break that 32 game losing streak they have in SA.

man it is basically that Warriors game that will decide it..Likely going for 73rd win in place they haven't won since 1997, it will be ultimate party pooper move from Pop to punt the occasion :lol..

Pop showed he wanted the win against the Raptors by playing the starters lots of minutes, including 40 for Kwahi. I think he is buying into the 41-0 play.
