Think of all the games these try hards have lucked out in and pulled out of their ass and then think about how many games the Spurs have given away. We should have a better record lol

Dubs definitely defied the percentages. All that help by the refs in close games explains it though. You see Speights just bulldoze Olynick and not get called. That was at 85-75 when the C's were about to put it away. Instead, they got a three on the inbound pass.

I was SHOCKED, SHOCKED! that boston kept it together against Warrirefs. I personally wouldve lost my shit on the court if I were them.

I've never wished for a player to get hurt, and I'd rather see the Spurs kick GSW's asses at full strength. But watching them keep playing their best players to try and set a meaningless record? I think it would be some kind of poetic justice if one of them blew out a knee or ankle and they win the record but lose the title repeat.

I wonder if they would give Kerr Coach of the Month again, if that happened?

Now only 25-3 in games within five points inside of three minutes. Essentially the same winning % in close games than their overall record, which is insane and unsustainable. Too bad a few more couldn't flip against them and give the Spurs a shot at the 1 seed.

I called this and got laughed at. The Celtics are good for an Eastern Conference team.

Us choking against the Hornets and tanking the Thunder game sealed our fate, tbh.

We'd never hear the end of their excuses and declaring that the title winner should have an asterisk.

And in 10 years nobody would care and it would count as a championship the same as all the others, just win baby

Damn, those stupid losses to the Pelicans and Pacers could come back to bite us, with 2 games remaining v GSW the Spurs had a shot at the 1 seed still. Being 38-0 at home you can't deny it woulda been handy to have home court in every playoff series. We are 4 games back, if we didn't lose those 2 i'd see the Spurs going for the 1 seed and going balls out against GSW in their last 2 meetings.

Being 4 games back instead of 2 and being about 40 wins ahead of the 3 seed I see the big guns sitting out some of the next 7 games rendering them meaningless unless Pop wants to get their minds in playoff gear. Geez where has this season gone, I feel like I was only just getting pumped up for the start of the season after signing LMA.

BTW:

When playing NBA2k or earlier NBA-Live and not using the Spurs in franchise mode (I'm usually using my Spurs, but it's just a nogo to play them without guys like Robinson, Timmy or Manu...but sometimes you feel like you want to create something different or even use the franchise draft...some goes for Madden and my Steelers)

...I played the Cavs (I liked the blueish teamlogo) for some time,
...followed by the Heat (pre '06 because I wanted to get their first ship with them),
...then Clips (loved to make them leapfrog Lakers while also winning their first one),
...later OKC (still don't know why...probably because they looked fresh, thus better than teams like Utah, Chicago or Kicks)
...and finaly the Dubs (I liked their colors and they drafted me in myplayer -probably the Curry draft-) before starting kind of a NBA-games sabatical over the last few years.

All just talking about teams and not their players...so when playing OKC, there probably wasn't a Westbrook, or Durant on that team.

Now I hate those teams and wouldn't ever touch them...but thats basically the only 6 teams (including Spurs) worthy of beeing called contenders right now.

Who to go with now? Hawks? Just for Bud?

Used to be back when Live was a thing that was any kind of relevant, I'd do the rebuild thing, Bobcats I remember making into something good back in....07 or 08, I think?
