Didn't realize it but, apparently the Spurs are the only team with 0 overtime games this year. Would this be a record if we went the whole year without a overtime game?

The Lakers could have done this too, but they aren't as good as the spurs.

That's why the point differential is more important. While the no overtime this year has been impressive, any team could do it, no matter who they were.

I think its great tbh. Last time I remember, going to overtime sometimes costs you a title.

Nice stat. It'd take some serious stats guru to find out if we're the only ones to avoid an OT in the regular season. Usually a team will have 1 or 2 at least. Hope they get no overtimes and go 41-0 at home. 2 nice records to have. But all that means nothing compared to number 6.

How about games with the most timeouts remaining at the end?

Or games where the same player entered more than 4 times?

Or the most seasons without winning an OT game?

Or the most seasons without winning an OT game?
Or the most OT games won during a losing season

3 CLE 1978-79
4 DET 2001-02
5 HOU 1972-73

7 LAL 1995-96
8 MIL 1968-69
9 WAS 2000-01

I remember the Memphis, Portland and Cleveland games they flat out blew last year that went to OT, two of them triple OT I think and almost back to back. I would love for them to avoid those losses this year and no OT, good stuff.

Just means the team is not gassing out by the 4th quarter tbh. We have fresh legs on the court for all 48 minutes of the game.

It only means the score wasn't tied at the end of regulation. It doesn't mean anything else.

None of those won the championship, and very few were even any kind of decent contenders. Most missed the playoffs.

So, a team has never played zero RS overtime games then went on to play in the conference finals, NBA finals, or win the championship. That's definitely something going against us.
