If you guys want to have a camping GTG you have to call now

(512) 389-8900 They are booked 2 months in advance !!

They have only two dates open for lost maples the 5th and 19th of November

they can only hold your spot for 5 days you must pay after that to make sure the spot is there. you can pay by phone.

http://www.tpwd.state.tx.us/publications/parkguide/?page=home&lang=en

I will be staying at Enchanted Rock

I was able to get the last spot for an area that has fire ring, picnic bench tent pad etc,, it's 12.00 dollars and 4.00 dollars per person they do take dogs if you have proof of Rabies shot. They have more spots for primitive camping. you must hike to get there,

I didn't block your number; I just don't know where our cell phones are. So I didn't hear the calls.

Those camping spots look beautiful. I'm not sure if we can confirm a date right now, so I don't know if we'll book it yet.

Enchanted rock kinda sucks for camping...

State parks don't like booze anyway..

I would want to drink like 12 pack of corona and light a big fire. .some stuffed peppers with bacon etc...

Not have to worry about like tiny fire where they hassle you and breaking your ankle on that giant hill.

Bergheim is better than both.. you can party hard.. have little radio.... and circle the wagons (cars)..

Edit: Not to mention it's 1.5-2 hours closer than the rock.. don't get me wrong the rock is great place.. just I am broken to climb it anymore.

And they do have very restrictive rules on camping.. I like to cheat with like power inflater and suv right next to my tent... and toilet that's not 1 mile away.

Come on, how could you forget the smores?! And I agree Bergheim is a perfect place for lots of beer and noise!! Plus it's nice, close to home, and nobody messes with you there. :drunk

That is nice. I haven't seen colors like that since I moved down from Ohio. Nothing like fall colors!

I don't miss the winters that much but I do miss the way it makes the fall and Christmas seasons feel.

The cold does cause shrinkage too.

Hope you all have a good time and don't pack any cucumbers.
