These games happen every season. Especially on the road. At least the Spurs have protected home court.

Warriors have definitely been fortunate to fall on the right side of more of these 50/50 games than usual, but...let's just hope that the law of averages evens out on them soon.

Those games happen yearly to teams so its almost a given... Ws lost to Minny at home for Gods sakes. They have won 65 games man, usually that is enough for HC any year.

The Hotnets game really kills me because we just beat five of the best teams in the leauge and then lose to Charlotte. Imagine having that game back, especially after blowing a 17 point lead.

Oh no! Our historically best record is not historic enough! ! , . Smh! ! ,

True: if the spurs had a better record they would not be under dogs which is worth something close to home court in a single specific series.

True: health is more important than home court.

True: the spurs have never won more games in the reg season

It was a 23 point lead.

Not yet. Mathematically, the Spurs still can earn HCA. Doubt it will happen tho. We need to win-out and Worriers to lose-out the remaining games.

Dear Spurs fans,

You got Lamarcus Aldridge, and it took two months for him to gel with his teammates. In those two months the Spurs went 26-6. During that same time the Warriors went 30-2. Home court was lost then. Downside of getting the best free agent in team history.

The good news is this: Since the first two months the Spurs have basically the same record as the Warriors, despite a much tougher record. Also, the one team the Spurs have to beat on the road is the one team they matchup best with in the league.

You're welcome.

If the Spurs win both games against the Warriors then they can win the tie breaker if both teams have the same record. If they have the same record and are 2-2 head to head, the Warriors get it by virtue of their better division record.

BTW, division record as a tiebreaker is fucking bullshit. The Pacific has been turrible.

You're correct about the head 2 head matchup. Still, Worriers need to lose one of their game vs Memphis. Can happen, but doubt it. Here's the schedule for both teams.

Yep. If that ref had gotten cancer and died and Greg Willard would have lived, maybe we would have gotten better calls, especially in that @ Shitcago game that pissed me off so much... and we would have had a fighting shot at HCA. :pctoss

Nope:

TIEBREAKER BASIS WHEN TWO TEAMS ARE TIED:

(1A) Better winning percentage in games against each other

(2A) Division winner (this criterion is applied regardless of whether the tied teams are in the same division)

(3A) Better winning percentage against teams in own division (only if tied teams are in the same division)

(4A) Better winning percentage against teams in own conference

Thus, Spurs would win the Tiebreaker at 2-2, but us losing once to the Dublets would almost certainly knock us out because they'd have to lose both times to the Grizzlies, not happening.

If we beat the Dublets both times, however.. they just have to lose once to Memphis.

yeah, those were maybe early in the season, but the Hornets loss takes the cake as far as the epic level shitty nature of it...Winning against the Dubs and theln holding a team to 7 points in 1st quarter while building a 21- point lead only to roll in the fetal position after it :lmao..

Really really fucking hard to keep up the intensity against a team you're wallopping that badly. I almost turned off the game at the end of the first quarter because they were either going to win in extended garbage time or shit away that lead. Happens all the time in every sport.

Pretty much this. That OKC loss and Wizards loss were 100% due to having way too many new guys.

I'm sure another handful had 89% or more due to having too many new guys.

You're so whiny. The Spurs are having a historic season, and this is what you focus on? The Spurs could go 81-1, and I bet you'd complain about the one loss.

We led 30-7. Were on pace for holding them to 26 points at one point in the game. And they ended up with 91. :lol

Memphis has nobody healthy and is in freefall. Everyone matches up well with them. The last decent Mavericks team that the Spurs faced almost upset them in the first round.

If it wasn't for the fact the Spurs matched up so well they would've lost that series. Pop got horribly outcoached.
