In Oakland tonight to take on the 69-9 Warriors, who have surprisingly lost 2 of their last 3, and narrowly escaped defeat against Utah in OT a couple weeks ago. They're playing their worst basketball of the season right now, but they're still the Warriors, and can turn it on in an instant. It is still unknown if everyone will play or if Pop will sit the starters, although reports as of this morning indicate everyone will play. Everyone is expected to be available for the Dubs. I agree the Spurs offense has been a source of inconsistency all year. I don't know if Tim needs the reps in GS. I figured the game in SA would be the game to let Timmy battle Bogut. The real test of the Spurs ambition comes tomorrow and whether or not Pop rests the core there.

There are so may ways to look at these remaining games. I'd just love to know WHY Pop does whatever he does. And that's the one thing we'll probably never know.

I wouldn't mind seeing the Spurs split the last games 2-2, but I have to admit that it would feel better if one of the W's (at least) was against the Warriors.

I'd hate to see Pop punt on two of the games, and then lose one or both of the other games anyway. I've seen a number of teams take a losing streak into the playoffs, and I can't remember a single time where it worked out well for them.

Even though Pop is playing everyone, I don't expect the Spurs to go all out. Yeah, I'd like to run down the Warriors for the number 1 seed and get a statement win against them at Oracle, but I think it might be wiser for the Spurs to hold their cards close their chest here and just play a straight up defensive scheme (Parker on Wardell for most possessions, limit the switches, etc) and not show too much on offense.
