View Full Version : This team won't be able to beat the Warriors if they can't even break 90 points

Spurs really really struggle to get easy buckets against GS and as important as the defense will be, the Spurs inability to generate easy baskets against this team is going to be a nightmare.

Terrible, this isn't something only I have noticed, everyone knows the Spurs have struggled against the Warriors offensively all year. It is a very real problem, but keep the homer glasses on.

That's quite an accomplishment, noticing that it's unlikely to win against a high scoring team if you score under 90...lol

Homer glasses :lol Any fucking moron can make the genius observation that the Spurs need to score more than, 90 to beat the Warriors.
This is just a "look at me" thread when it boils down to it.

Bullshit, Spurs have struggled all year to score in GS, has nothing to do with me. Quit trying so hard.

Cut the lead to 6 and Barnes promptly nails two 3's. Fuck.

Spurs need to fix their offense vs the Warriors, everyone keeps talking about holding the Warriors to below a 100 but the Spurs offense is very worrisome.

Well obviously, Popovich won't go all out with his playbook and matchup.

So Harrison Barnes is going to do what he's doing tonight consistently?
crofl
I'm waiting for all the point differential watchers to come along and explain how Spurs are a better team because of it. It's like that Foghorn Leghorn cartoon with the little chicken, the slide rule and how he wasn't where he thought it was. Hey, even if the Warriors blow the Spurs out of the building, the Spurs win if their season point differential is higher than GS.
The warriors look like shit compared to usual, and in their own building no less. The real issue was the entire gameplan being thrown out the window when LMAlpha got "blocked."

If it's not Barnes, it'll be Livingston or Thompson or Iggy. Warriors have a ton of players who are capable of these "random hot shooting nights" if you will. Spurs are fortunate to have just one. And it's frustrating because when Danny hits his 3's, it changes the whole game. But Spurs struggle so much with their shooting against this team it's a damn shame. That's all I'm saying man.

EVERYONE on the Warriors can hit 3s reliably. That's why they're pretty much impossible to defend. You have to hope you can alter their shots a bit and that they'll just miss, otherwise, it's like playing against 5 Terminators on the court.

:lol...Danny is hitting his threes dumbass. He's 3-5. Aldridge hurt his hand and Diaw isn't even playing. Seriously, take off your thong and put some man underwear on.

For the umpteenth time, this team has been atrocious offensively, on the road, against solid or better teams, for going on two years now.

I never said he wasn't, Danny was a huge reason Spurs had a big run before Barnes 3's (along with Kawhi.)
Gonna go put some man underwear on.

They're getting good looks. Just not converting. They've had quite a few layups and free throws go out. They're just not finishing anything.

This warriors team is better than the spurs defensively too, they just been coasting on that end because they're so good offensively
This spurs team cant score because they dont consistently get open looks or 3s. The spurs are mainly lacking in dribble penetration, if you cant force the other team to help, you're not gonna create open looks. Aldridge and Kawhi post ups arent gonna get it done, its not gonna be enough in a 7 game series

The D was the problem last night. But missing layups and FTs fucks momentum and these fuckers feed off of that shit. But on the other hand hit them back and they can be rattled. If you think we have no chance no point in hanging around here. See you next season.

There's no beating the Warriors period. We haven't lost to the Warriors in SA since Davy Crockett was alive and well at mission. We didn't play well and couldn't buy a basket and then LMA got hurt.

Especially when they turn around and score within 6-8 seconds of getting the ball.

This is exactly why Parker is ineffective against the warriors. Now that he has lost his speed, he has difficulty penetrating and kicking out to shooters. If the offense ran through Kawhi, he could create more open looks for Danny and LMA. Look how many times the warriors double-teamed Kawhi from the post alone, imagine how many looks the team could get if they did that consistently. Parker is not a threat from the perimeter or in the paint. They will never double team him, the defense is set and without proper ball movement no one can get easy looks.
