Have you donated to the American Red Cross or other organizations helping the Katrina victims?

I donated a small amount, because we live below the poverty line. But it's the gesture that counts, right?

yes we have.
btw, have any of you gone across to Mexico. My wife tells me we should go and buy somegroceries. I tell her that it comes out cheaper just to buy groceries here in the US because after paying the crossing fee to $2+$2 back, paying the parking lot security attendant, the bag boy.Giving a 10 pesos to homeless people and buying gum from the street merchant. I'm out already $6-$8 before I get to the damn mercado!
Not to mention the damn gasoline is sky high!

I don't think its appropriate to pimp oneself for giving or to call people out who haven't.
