the sad part is that i could see this happening 2 or 3 times in a series..in the past two months alone, we probably had 5 games when both combined for such disgusting points haul..

The crew will be along shortly to call this a deflection thread.

Seriously, you can't make those numbers up. It would be a fluke if it was one game but it's happened quite a bit this season.

CIA Pop tbh. He sends Tony/Danny to stink the place.

When Pop shows his hand they'll score 40-50 per game combined.

Backcourt?

Curry + Klay = 51pts

DWest(4) + Danny(2) + Porker(4) + Paddy(7) + Gino(8) + KMart(9) + Kyle(4) + Boban(4) = 42pts

:lmao

For all of his *experimenting* wtf could they not have had a couple games with Anderson running the point.

As long as those 2 or 3 shitty games also occur when the rest of the roster is have a shitty night or when Wardell is going off then it shouldn't matter since they would lose the game anyways. Porker/Danny just have to show up in 4 out of 7 games thus they can play as shitty as they want for 2 or 3 games.:toast

If that's Porker's reduced role, just imagine how badly he'd have been blown the fuck out in an expanded role.

You're gonna need to explain this to me.

The Spurs' backcourt is badly outscored, Danny Green is the worst shooter on the entire team from both 2 and from 3, and your solution is for the guy shooting 49 percent from the floor to ... shoot less.

Hoping he suffers a career ending injury at the olympics & retires so his contract is off the books. :wakeup

Being the Diva, he's probably going to try & come back, even for just one final game, so he can have his little "retirement tour" like Kirby.:lol

I thought his retirement tour has been ongoing.

Serious question...does TP have the ability to restructure his contract? Not that he would. But was wondering if he and the Spurs could work something out that paid Tony something decent but wasn't such a damaging contract to the Spurs.
Something around $300,000 per year for 10 years.

Something around $300,000 per year for 10 years. I'd like to witness that discussion, 'Now Tony I know we owe you 15 mil, but would you consider dropping that a little bit for the good of the team... to say......$300,000? We don't need an answer immediately, but.....do you and the little lady like Philadelphia? The have those yummy philly-cheese steaks there!'

here's how I hope it would go...
FO : Tony, we'd like you to reduce your salary to around $300,000 per year
Tony : (chuckle) I guess that's about what I'm worth
FO : Yeah...we'd like to be able to afford some better players
Tony: to be honest, I was expecting this...OK, let's do it. For the team
FO : For the team Tony, for the team.

Would Parker have better success against second units? Maybe it's time for a Manu-Tony switch. Parker supposedly creates pressure through his penetration, but this outcome seems more likely in theory than in practice.

PATFO could release him & use the "stretch provision" to spread his salary over a longer period so it won't kill the annual cap-space. It won't happen this summer but I could see it happening in the summer of 2017 when a non-max starting point-guard like Jeff Teague (knows the system & Hawks won't re-sign him) will be available. (Patty will also be a free-agent & Tony will be on the last year of his deal)

If Tony just falls apart like Steve Nash within the next two seasons (possible, considering his national team commitments) then PATFO will have no choice to to cut bait especially since all the nostalgia will be gone as Tim/Manu will have retired. At the least, I expect George Hill to replace Patty if they get priced out of the Jeff Teague bidding war (should be able to slide into Tony's 14mill slot) since they will BOTH be FAs in 2017.

He stated in a RECENT interview that he has already given up on the idea of playing 20 season.:lol

2017, FTW!:toast
