He followed orders. FO pissed away our draft picks in recent memory. We had to get them picks back. Tank is the best way to do it and keep money hungry owners from Laker foodstamps (AKA luxury taxes). It's all good. :tu

The Spurs never had the most stacked teams during his time.

1998 - Bulls
1999 - Jazz, Lakers
2000 to 2004 - Lakers, Kings
2005 to 2007 - Mavs, Suns
2008 to 2011 - Lakers, Celtics
2012 to 2014 - Heat
2015 to 2016 - Warriors, Cavs.

He didn't follow any "orders." He just sucks.

As I've said before, he failed to adapt to the modern game. He still plays like it's '09.

The kind that can go to the playoffs twice in a row and come back the better man.

Duncan? Gave up his trophy each time like it was his wife.

Damn, OP cant even count ...

http://www.nba.com/lakers/history/season_by_season

even if you claim he missed it in 2014 due to injury or even if you count the achilles season as 2013 ... That still doesnt equal missing the playoffs 4 years ina row ...

I know some Spur fans cannot count past "5" especially after "6" but get a freaking clue if you are gonna troll ...do it right.

Oh you mean the kind of all time who never won a ring as the best player and got carried by the backs of Shaq and Pau ? this kind of all time ?

Have we never seen an all time great not winning as the main man of a team ? let me think... nope

:lol wtf

His last Play Off game was in OKC house May 21th 2012 at 33 y/o. Did he play another PO game I'm not aware of ? BTW he had a nice game 42 pts on a stellar 18/33 well above career average, 0 assist right in line with his long career and -14 :lol

As for Deeps I respect a good troll he plays a little loosey goosey with the facts but truth out of the matters is his teams have missed the playoffs 4 times total whether prime or not ... those are facts. Just not 4 in a row. He was the leader of those teams they go on his "ledger" no arguments here. Just not 4 in a row ...

It's unprecedented. Adding insult to injury is that Kirbs missed the playoffs IN HIS PRIME.

It's sad that Lakerfan rewrites the history of the '05 team, but I remember them and the media being high on Kobe + the new core of Caron Butler, Brian Grant, and Lamar Odom. That was nowhere near a "scrub roster." Kirby just isn't good enough to lead a team not stacked with top tier bigs.
