Yes I was, we were called Little Lou and the Voodoos. I played the harmonica. We were a blues band, we had...

Louis Dovall on vocals
Bobby "Slim" Terrell on lead guitar
"Boom Boom" Ara Mahalik on bass
Johnny "Gizmo" Williams on the drums.

We played gigs all along the west coast, this was from about 1973 to 1979, then Lou (our leader) was shot and kliied coming out of the Do Drop Inn Lounge in Wasco (west of Bakersfield) by a jealous husband, Little Lou had a bad habit of messing with married women and it cost him. Funny how the only song Little Lou ever wrote was..."Jealous Husband Blues", I had a nice little riff here.

Without Little Lou we gave it up since none of us could sing worth a damn.

We have prewar blues and postwar blues (1941)

We have the regions...Mississippi Delta (all Miss blues get stuck here), Texas, Louisiana, Georgia, Memphis, Alabama, East Coast/Piedmont, St, Louis, Chicago, Detroit.

Now every region has those that best represent that region.

Then we have those who are the best example of, piano, guitar, harmonica, jug band, fiddle.

We have paleface blues, and that Appalachian sound.

Now when ya have learned the dozen or so who are the best examples of all that above, you'll be where I was about 10 years ago with them blues.

It's when ya can talk those who aren't the top dozen or so in a region, when ya can talk the obscure, that's when you are on my level. Good luck with that.
