He should be the landslide winner. No other defender in the league has to carry his load night in and night out. If Raymond wins it, I'm rioting. That fucker gets shellacked by bigs 1v1, then GS starts swarming, which of course causes opposing bigs problems, but the metrics "credit" Draymond for that possession as if he were defending straight up.

His primary defensive value is switching, really. But he's not out there on the perimeter covering the space Kawhi is.

Hes going to wi it bro. Rechecked votes again...will be close but he will win it..I'm actually more surprised that he has significantly tallied more 1st team votes than durant who i think has been the 4th most valuable player in tge league. Kawhi deserves it.

Actually it might have been. Didn't they say that he didn't lose possession of the ball except in the NBA finals game 6? Did Kawhi touch the ball of one of those two offensive rebounds the Heat got?
