I wouldn't be surprised if they preemptively ThunderREF them this year. Just to make sure that don't have to make those calls in a GSW/SA series. NBA would love Durant/Westbrook vs. GSW. Then Lebron vs. GSW.
Spurs gotta make sure they take care of OKC and not keep it close.

If we DON'T tie or break it this series, it ain't gonna happen. Frankly, I expect us to sweep Memphis, but not by 25 points in these two games on their home court.

What about the average point winning margin? We were ahead of GSW most of the year and on track for a new NBA record. Did the last few games screw us out of that? That would be a more impressive record.

They lost their rookie big jarell martin who will need a follow-up surgery in a foot he injured last September. http://www.nba.com/grizzlies/news/martin-injury-update-160422
Memphis are just sad at this point. Not really an achievement to blow them out again, but if our guys bring their A game it's a likelihood. Though I don't expect our 3 pts shooting to hold so high.

We have been pretty lackadaisical in the first quarter of both games so far. I wouldn't be surprised to see us coast even more. Plus, even Memphis will play better in front of the home fans. Moreover, I don't expect Pop to flog a dead grizzly. My prediction is that we win these games by an average of +/- 15.

You were right. We barely skidded on this one and it required a monster game from Kawhi and Tony getting benched for a no PG lineup with Manu an TD only played 13 minutes. It's a guarantee at this point that Tim won't see minutes against the perimeter lineups.

I am not right just yet. We would have to win game 4 by +/- 21 for my prediction to come true. I am not sure how likely that is. Spurs will surely play better. But will Grizz desperately want one win or will they already have their bags packed? That's the kicker.

I just wonder how a playoff run where his minutes are very reduced will affect Tim's offseason decision... Late last fall I was 99.99% certain that Tim would retire. Then after he rehabbed his knee and came back pretty strong, I began to lower my percentage. But I still hold to my early season thread, predicting he and Kobe would both retire this season in starkly contrasting styles - appropriately distinct endings to their very different characters and careers. These prospective retirements will make for one of the great defining contrasts in American sports history. The perfect final contrast! I even Nostradamus (to borrow your verb - :lol) that such contrast will serve to enhance Tim's stature and diminish Kobe's in the eyes of future NBA historians.

Good point. :tu
I have a feeling this is it for him that hasn't wavered for the most part, although I admit he could do another season if he wanted to with a reduced role. I just think the knee has been a real issue for him and wearing the two knee braces affected his balance so he was falling to the ground so much and unable to finish at the rim bc there is always some contact at the rim, someone is always pushing you. I suppose so long as they don't hit you it's not a foul, but there is always someone pushing you and he seemed off balance and about to fall a lot.

OKC has looked very pedestrian in all of our matchups this year. We were in complete control against them even when we lost on the road, we just choked to Dion Waiters of all people. Spurs in 5.

No Surprise that a team with the 2nd best PG of all time and the 2nd best Center, if not best, Center of all-time led this category. Amazing the Spurs did this now when teams are more balanced. It's amazing what adding 1 player of note can do for an already successful franchise/team.
