Drob was a beast that season. Won DPOY. This was the year before he became a full fledge Christian. He was never the same aggressive player after that. Still great, but the anger and aggression he used to play with was no longer there. If not for that, we could easily being talking about DRob being the greatest C of alltime.

He was brought up in a Christian household, and was more aggressive as his career went on, particularly when Avery Johnson joined the team and told him that not playing as hard as he could was a waste of his God-given abilities. If he'd played as hard in his first five years as he did in his last five, his numbers would have been amazing, but he wouldn't be remembered differently because his teammates absolutely sucked for the first half of his career.

I'm not sure how you infer any of that. I scoured this video and nowhere does he say anything close to your characterization. Not just one part is missing, but everything you said just doesn't exist. You'll need to point it out, if not here, then in one of the many other interviews you seem to think exist.

I watched David play his entire career. He was so good early on at a sport he hadn't really cared about that I don't think he really put it all out there when everything was on the line. Usually the great players are damaged in some way to be driven to succeed, and Robinson simply didn't need that validation enough to work for it. As he got older, the game mattered more to him, and you could see the change in him. He barked at officials when they made bad calls, he defended himself when people tried to be physical with him, and he played his guts out in big games, even when his body was failing him. The Spurs have two fewer championships for sure without him.
