First of all Leonardo finally got his Oscar in a movie which he barely says a word ........not even words you can understand. A bunch of damned growling and sluring. Next, he basically gets his ass handed to him throughout the entire movie. Indians whoopin his ass, a bear kicks his ass twice, then the damned villian gives him a couple of ass beatins. 6/10 for ass whippins taken yet a niggra still manages to survive somehow. :claw

:lmao I said the same shit
This Oscar is a seriously slap in the face tbh, he should have took the award and shot everyone the finger IMO. As for the movie, there was nothing special about it I thought.. The bear attack stands out, but not much else. Really basic movie I cant see watching again even though I own it.

They were basically tellin him to STFU and stand there. Maybe you will win your Oscar.
It's called acting.
:lol thinking you have to be a raging shouting lunatic to win Oscars.
That's the overrated part.

I expect some gattdayum dialogue. Anyone can lay there at get their ass kicked the whole movie. How hard can being mauled by a grizzly be? Is that chit Oscar worthy? Leonardo showed way better acting skills in The Wolf of Wallstreet. :rolleyes

Damn y'all are stupid, I thought Revenant was badass. I waited for it to be available on OnDemand 1080p and watched it at home on my badass TV. I thought it was amazing. The middle part dragged on just a bit and crawling inside the horse was a little overkill, but man. What a movie

Well considering delivery of your lines in a believable manner is a huge part of the actors job, this is a slap in the face considering the Departed, Wolf of Wallstreet and even Titanic screwjobs

So you're saying that the actors who made black and white silent movies shouldn't win any awards? It's the content that matters imo.
Good dialogue helps but not always needed to portray a strong performance.

:lol now you're going off the deep end.. so of all his movies, do you feel this performance was most deserving?

Huh? I wasn't bragging about anything, that's just the highest definition OnDemand comes in. I have a 4K ultra hd tv but I don't see them releasing Revenant in 4K anytime soon

actually speaks volume of his acting chops. I remember watching braveheart, the best part of Mel gibsons performance was a scene when he was betrayed by Robert the bruce, he didn't utter a damn word, he just kneeled, crestfallen...he delivered that scene perfecty with facial
Expressions...shit was powerful.

I dont know about that. I have auditioned for roles before, and the hardest part was getting in character with dialogue. One scene you have to act like you are in love, the next you have to be angry, the next you have to show emotions about a death. That is way harder than non dialogue acting IMHO.

What do you think about Kubrick's 2001: A Space Odyssey? Great movie but hardly any dialogue.

It was good overall. Not Oscar worthy for any individual actors. The monkeys didnt say a damned thing. :huh

Ok, I was just curious. I agree with that. However, I think Leo did deserve the Oscars though I'm not saying his past losses didn't influence the judges. But there is more to acting than dialogue and I thought he did a great job in that film.

Yeah, he did. But was it better than the other 2016 actors? I dont know about that. I have a feeling missing Leo before influenced a lot of voters. Just saaaaayin.
1. I never, not once, gave a single fuck about his son
2. They should have all died for raping the land of Elk
3. What kind of faggot thinks staying on the same river on a boat is a good plan for escaping natives who know the river like their own peckers?
4. No one survives that bear attack, not with those wounds, not in that weather, not under that dirt, not soaking wet and hungry.
5. Goes looking for the guy after making it back to safety, just to get stabbed and stabbed again.
6. Thinking that leaving anyone behind with a dying man and Natives trying to kill you in the middle of winter is going to lead to anything but a faster death for said dying man.
7. Blaming anyone for killing him themselves.
8. Jim Bridger portrayed as a conscience having little pussy.
9. Hugh Glass must have told some whoppers.
:lol bragging about your 1080p like we're in 2004?
Bragging about owning a TV like we're in Compton.

LMAO!!!! DMC broke this shit smooth down. Leo survived a repeat bear attack to. I guess the bear felt he didnt dish out enough ass tearing the first mauling. :claw
What do you think the competition between shit talkers was back then, when you had a handful of "scouts" who tried to legride Lewis and Clark's fame? You had Glass, Bridger and a host of other "know-it-all" types who probably did less than 25% of the shit they claimed to have done.
