It's funny.
You should play it.
Cards Against Humanity is a party game for horrible people. Unlike most of the party games you've played before, Cards Against Humanity is as despicable and awkward as you and your friends.
The game is simple. Each round, one player asks a question from a black card, and everyone else answers with their funniest white card.

Example:
Black card:
"What left this stain in my couch?"
Example white cards:
Invading Poland
Lockjaw
Dick Cheney
White People
A middle-aged white man on roller skates
Running out of semen
Holding down a child and farting all over him

That's literally what it is, but a lot more entertaining.

Cards against humanity is NOT fun or funny. I can understand the appeal if you're not funny or creative on your own without pre scripted joke cards available to you

The game itself is inherently not funny BECAUSE it's pre scripted

It's funny if you go meta.

Shamelessly so, but it is way, way, way funnier.

The wit and skill is in applying what you are given to any particular card. It might not be as creative as thinking up odd non-sequiturs, but you do a disservice to the subtlety of the game.

It's a good party game, but the novelty doesn't hold up unless you use new groups each time you play.

I had to excuse myself from the game and walk away because I was so embarrassed for everyone and couldn't muster another courtesy laugh :rolleyes

This is correct.
Played this 2-3 times a week with this one group at my first dorm hall my freshman semester in early Fall 2013. It was fun as hell the first couple times but after a few more times we all got tired of it and moved on to Madden tournament by the end of September.
