Where does he rank among "Spurs killers" in NBA history?

He had a very poor regular season, the worst of his career, yet you would never know it if you watched him against the Spurs:lol..he has owned the Spurs throughout his career, regardless of SA's personnel..

But only 5 rebounds. He's gotta cool off at some point, and hopefully when he does he keeps chucking and doesn't start crashing the offensive glass.

He doesn't clog the paint like he use to.

This is true, but it kind of makes him even more of a Spur killer(not as a player on the court, but just on the list of "Spurs Killers") if you look at it from a different POV..he's declining as a rim protector and no longer a defensive force, which should make him virtually ineffective in this series, overall, except he has somehow developed the 3-point shot of Ray Allen to negate some of his defensive decline:lol

As far as Spurs killers from the PF position, he's the new version of New Orleans David West.

TheGreatYacht will probably disagree but Pop should put Anderson on him. If they aren't going to play Timmy and Diaw isn't being effective then the next best option is Anderson. Plus Anderson is a better rebounder than West and Diaw.

Crazy how 2-3 years ago, dude was probably the most feared interior defender we matched up with in the playoffs.. LMA has done a great job when guarded by Ibaka.. I can't remember an Ibaka block so far this series.. Regardless, props to Ibaka on improving his 3 point shooting, dude is a legit 3 point threat now.

I think Aldridge is giving hima ton of room not being particularly good with the help defense.

Kind of that LMA is in the middle of the ocean sometimes, not in position to help the defender on the penetration but still giving ibaka ton of room to shoot.

Seems to be "by design" as most in and out game from OKC is with him, probably we will adjust on him as a surprise on a close game later in the series, it is very obvious for pop and the team to not see that.

I prefer the Ibaka that makes 3s but plays soft defense, then 2012-14 Ibloka scaring the fuck out of Parker, etcYou realize ibaka shooting more threes and him playing defense can be mutually exclusive? His "decline has nothing to do with him shooting threes, and everything to do with the increase of small ball and stretch 4s across the league taking him out of the paint.

This. We will survive with him shooting a little bit better from 3, being completely wide open, but doubling his normal point output will not be good.

Exactly, he isn't nearly the paint presences on defense that he was 2 or 3 years ago. He seems to be a lot more selective going for blocks which is strange cause that intimidation factor was huge for him/them not too long ago.

The two greatest "Spurs killers" of all-time are easily Kobe Bryant and Dirk Nowitzki. After them it's a jumbled up group that includes Robert Horry (main reason why I hated him before '04), James Harden, Derek Fisher, Ray Allen, Bonzi Wells, Shaquille O'Neal and a few other players, IMO. Kobe and Dirk deserve the highest spots and most praise.
