Couldn't get a rebound and couldn't make a shot, a perfect recipe for the refs to take over the game. It's all the spurs fault, sorry ass team

For the people who wonder why spurs fans get so pessimistic, this is it.
Look at those last minutes.
Mental lapses, shots that just don't go in, bad luck, refs giving up FTs.
Why would they call that touchy foul on WB? Aren't those the kind of plays when "refs let the players play"?
WB makes a shot, Spurs can try a 3 from a better position.

After watching this game, I'm not sure I can do this anymore. I think I'm giving up on watching the NBA...it's just not worth cheering for your favorite team only to be cheated by the refs constantly.

Crazy how the ref's "let them play" in the final seconds of a game but have no problem calling a BULLSHIT and 1 on Westbrook.....shit's as rigged as back in the 2012 series...too many bad calls to let us gain any sort of momentum in this game combined with our lackluster shooting...Put a fork in em this series is over I think.

Bottom line is OKC just want this series more. Maybe the SPurs don't think they have anything to prove anymore and don't want another championship? Who the hell knows? They looked like WNBA players out there tonight. OKC has MEN on their team that will go and crash the boards. Who do we have? West and Diaw??? They have too much athleticism and toughness for our guys. The reason we are going to lose this series is not because of the refs but because we are boys playing against men.

Refs aren't getting all the offensive rebounds. Tim fought the good fight. Bigs can't compete with Adams. It's over. Writing has been on the wall. We will be competitive but can't win. A la Clippers series, why can't Spirs win big games on HC anymore?

R&R.
Rebounds and Refs.
Suit up for Game 6 and leave it all out there. I wish we could make our runs that we've been able to go on but instead of in the third I would much rather it also be at the end of the game so that officiating or lack of officiating wouldn't be a deciding factor.
I'll keep on repping this team till the end. Go Spurs Go!

Pretty much you have to play the ref card in this current NBA if you want your team to advance. It's dirty but its now the norm for coaches pull out after losses. This is the second year in a row a coach has bitched about the refs after being down to the Spurs in a series and afterwards has gotten favorable treatment. This is all on Pop because this will continue to happen every year to the spurs until Pop calls out the opposing coaches for their bs. I'm tired seeing this story played out again and again.

Kawhi and Green showed up. Kawhi wasn't getting his jumper to drop but jammed it down there throat in the paint.
Aldridge should have continued pushing it in the paint but shied away and went back to his jumper that wouldn't drop
Parker shouldn't have be the go to guy to close out the game for the spurs on the offensive end. I would have gone to Kawhi on that one.
Game this close and having missed calls sucks to see as a fan. It always happens. I would feel better about this game if it was called better.

The fouls in the 2nd and 3rd Quarters kept the Thunder in the game. It's just like in 2012 people. The thunder cannot function with a 50/50 whistle.
In game 6, the Spurs will probably do what they did four years ago. Go up big on OKC and then the out of control drives kick in and the parade to the free throw line ensues.

Rebounds killed this team, they completely forgot the fundamentals of boxing out and it bit them in the ass. Spurs don't deserve to see GS in the next round. I wish we could have tanked and got a decent pick out of this garbage season.

That's the thing. What we imply when we say Spurs should not put them into that position is that the Spurs are at too much risk of losing games at the end due to the refs and therefore have to plan for win and be up by more.
If they suck all game, then win by 1, it's still a win, and still good enough. I hate the execution as much as any other, but at the end of this game they gave up 2 fouls and Thunder won basically on FTs.

Too bad we don't have a Captain Jack type hitting 3's in Game 6 on the road like he doesn't give a fuck like last time we were down against these fucks in a series.
This series makes me appreciate how far ahead of schedule the Spurs where in integrating new faces during the regular season. But the playoffs are a different beast though, and you can tell that on the offensive end particularly that this was/is still very much a transition year for this team.
I'm also shocked at how quickly Duncan has dropped off since the tail end of those season. Sure he is borderline unplayable against the Warriors, but against the Thunder that play with traditional bigs?

WC had eight turnovers, but he will be considered the hero tomorrow. That clown will never win a ring. He's a mental patient.
The Spurs got over the hill very quickly with this roster. It was a good try to bring in LMA, but too many changes occurred and the squad simply could not handle the close games in this playoffs. BTW OKC is a train wreck. It's such a luxury to know you will get 20 FTs minimum just about every game even though you play a totally stupid brand of basketball.
It makes me sick to watch those dirtbags from Oklahoma put us on the brink.

Spurs absolutely screwed us!
How come we do not have any bench now?!
Boris is total shit tbh when he was suppose to be a X-Factor .. well for the GS. It looks like we were made to counter GS style but that OKC matchup killed us.
wtf is with this offensive droughts? And where is patty for gods sakes?
While other teams have people contribute we do have 2 or 1 guy playing a game.
Pop overcoached himself esp with this sitting TD when Adams screwed us.
Spurs were unable to concentrate and keep playing. One of the worst letdowns in history. Shot clock violation? NOPE!!!!!!!!!! Westbrook two points madafakarz.
Frickin LMA a complete disaster. Not making easy shots at home.
40-1 is a season and now some suppose to be stupid OKC drilled us to the grills

Let's have the offseason speculation begin. We have no shot at Durant since he will beat us with the Thunder and/or make it so close that it's negligible (before we had maybe 5 percent, why would he join us if he beat us on a team?). Who are some signings you want to see join up on our first post-Manu and Duncan year?

Got some sleep after last night's loss.
I think going into next game the lineup changes with aldridge and a Diaw/West then the bench has Duncan and Diaw/West dub in.
I felt like they minimized the thunder Bigs overall with that combination and didn't have to deal with droughts with small ball against thunders size.
Well there is Thursday game and go from there.

It's been a good series. Most entertaining series so far in the playoffs and probably the only series that will go the distance

they don't want Durant to leave OKC.........that is why all those stories about coming to San Antonio came out. It was BS. They just don't want him to go anywhere....and it leveraged the NBA to give OKC at least this series. You don't think the NBA is rigged....a first year coach defeats a 20 years legend....c'mon.

I don't know why Parker decided to take the hero shots down the stretch but he really cost the spurs this game and this series. He cannot run the offense anymore. That is the main reason the spurs are struggling. Parker and Manu aren't driving and kicking anymore because they can't run past anyone off the dribble. Age is also now a big factor: the spurs only get 1 day off in between games and they just look exhausted while OKC is young and can handle heavy minutes.
If the spurs don't change their roster next year they will not go far in the playoffs let alone be a contender. They need to go young, replace their pg's and get a defensive wing who can shoot threes. Kawhi and LMA can't carry them it's too much of a burden. We saw this last year against the Clippers. They can't cover up their deficiencies anymore. In the regular season, they were beating up on bad teams and now that they are up against the elite OKC they can't even crack 100 points a game. What's worse is Pop is going down with the ship. He won't play Boban, Simmons or Martin. He won't make any adjustments and it's already too late. Thunder are going to advance.

It really seems pretty simple: Not keeping OKC off the offensive glass and not being able to buy a bucket down the stretch (actually, there were several droughts throughout the game) sank the Spurs in this game. Sure, Durant and especially Westbrook had good games, but they also made their fair share of mistakes and turned the ball over almost twice as often as all of the Spurs' players combined. It also wasn't really a case of one of their role players going off à la Ibaka in 2012.
That's what makes this loss so disappointing: The Thunder were good, but certainly not great. The Spurs just didn't have what it would have taken to put them away.
