the result?Exactly the same. Yall packing your shit and going home. No one was injured, everyone was healthy. You have the DPOY, and the 2nd in MVP voting , probably the best post PF/C in LMA, surrounded by great role players and veterans, with a great coach... Fucking shameful. Lakers are still more relevant, will still be talked about more, and Kobe went out with the whole world bowing down to him. Jim on the other hand gets blown out at the hands of Durbeta and Chuckbrook :lol.

Losing in the second round is the same as missing the playoffs three years in a row and having absolutely no hope for any type of short term plan.

TBH Kawhi is still really young and LMA is fairly young. The Spurs should be good for a few more years at winning 50 plus games. With that being said even losing in the playoffs is still better just for gaining experience and building chemistry. Look at the Mav's during the '00s they were a great regular season team that won a lot of regular season games but choked in the playoffs. Eventually that experience paved the way for them to finally win in '11.

This wasn't even really that much of a choke tbh... their lack of athleticism and age were exposed... and Westbrook/Durant is still a dynamic duo.

They were clearly outplayed, and melted down the stretch in the last 3 games.

By that definition it's still a choke but I get what you are saying. Even if it's not a choke it gives the spurs a snapshot of the direction they need to go into when it comes to retooling the roster.

Its a choke because they were 67-15 with a historic marginal of victory and ended up losing.

but OKC is a very good team. 55-27 with a +7.3 differential, and their athleticism clearly exploited the Spurs... I think they can win 2 off the Warriors, tbh... but if they beat the Warriors I'd be shocked.

Per ESPN ...

Most wins without making NBA Finals, per ESPN Stats and Information: 1972-73 Celtics (68-14), 2015-16 Spurs (67-15), 2006-07 Mavs (67-15)

Ghazi

Dwight wouldn't help the Mavs.. he might exalt us to 50 win territory but that guy simply is not a winner IMO.

Chandler/Dirk in 2011 would be better than aged Dirk and aged Dwight in 2017. Mavs are a dump these days.

Untrue.

GSW was in a much better place than the Lakers in 2014. 2015 and 2016 proved it.

Spurs in 2013 was in a better place than any team that wasn't the Heat. 2014 proved it.

really shameful, what a stacked roster and the second round smh..

Spurs are 7th in payroll this year, behind OKC, Warriors and Cleveland, the only three teams left that really have any chance of a ring.

What is shameful is a team of HoF not having fun and getting kicked in the first round.
