He out coached Pop by a wide margin and games were close.

Spurs were able to play David West and Kyle Anderson and stay in games, imagine if Pop didn't play them?

Spurs in 5? Spurs in 6?

Only 1 game there is still a series to be played but I do give him credit for this win. OKC could have easily given up when they were down double digits a few times in this game but he got them to compete and not give up. He also refused to go small even when they were down in the game and it paid big dividends at the end.

Donovan can't control the occasional Westbrook/Durant outburst, but his X's and O's knowledge, management of players (every player knows his role on the team) is unmatched so far...Westbrook and Durant...believe...

Donovan would have never played Diaw and West together. And that faggot Fathead would have worn a suit on the bench.

He's done well, but the Warriors will still beat the Thunder in 6 or less.

Wouldnt call him a star yet, but certainly Scott Brooks were destroying that team (something all basketball stat guys like bballbreakdown had been saying for years).

More than being out-coached, Pop basically for one reason or another committed suicide.

That #SuicideSquad he played to start the 4th quarter in Game 2 was the beginning of the end. He let go tbh.

pop lost his passion after 2014. he's still the GOAT coach but its time for him to either bring in a younger staff with fresh ideas or transition to the front office.

I'd still take Jim Carrey over Donovan.

For a coach to be a star, he has to first win a title.

Keepin' it real

Anderson IS Kawhi's backup. Who exactly did you expect Pop to sub?

That's Pop, for better or worse. He believes in his system, and he believes in his substitution patterns. That and Duncan's greatness got the Spurs 6 finals and 5 titles.

I'm fine with that.

It's so funny, how universally Spurs fans, from all walks of life realized, that that line up was just insane.
