Stock market is probably at least 20% overvalued anyway and no longer has any bearing on the health of the economy. A lot of them are fabricating fake earnings with stock buybacks with borrowed money just to make it look like EPS is steady or rising.

"fabricating fake earnings with stock buybacks with borrowed money"

stock buybacks used to unethical, even illegal, until St Ronnie's Repug SEC made it legal. Stock buybacks take money away from investment funds, and help enrich the corporate mgmt and investors.

"Companies have been allowed to repurchase their shares on the open market with virtually no regulatory limits since 1982, when the SEC instituted Rule 10b-18 of the Securities Exchange Act. "

stock buybacks are legal way for mgmt and investors to loot a company, starving, killing its investment, innovation.

I get worried often about some stocks RE ratios, but I think the market will fall if Hillary gets the gig.

The market will fall no matter who is elected.

We give the POTUS way too much credit/blame for the economy.

Why's that?

Given the reality of consumer confidence, this statement seems to miss the point.

Why's that?

Cause he's part of the GOP obviously. He then likes to tell other people that argue with him about it that they are using confirmation bias. He's been shamed so much he abandoned merit around 2014.
