I do. You are talking about a franchise that has been utterly embarrassed the past few years. The Kobe issues. Losing. FA leaving them. FA turning them down. Embarrassing lockerroom issues. Coaches admitting tanking.

With no Kobe to sell tickets, they are going to be impatient IMO. They will be very open to trading the pick IMO.

The Los Angeles Lakers have yet to find out where -- or if -- they'll be selecting in the first round of the 2016 NBA Draft, but should they keep their top-3 protected pick, the team may use it to select Providence point guard Kris Dunn, a source told ESPN's Mark Spears.

The report suggests that the Lakers are "enamored" by the idea of a three-guard rotation of Dunn, D'Angelo Russell, and Jordan Clarkson.

They definitely have trade value - it's not a ton, but it feels like no matter who they pick it's going to take some time to fit them with what they have because of lack of shooting and needing the ball to be effective.

That's the thing. I'm perfectly content with a slow rebuild. 1992-1996 were some of favorite years as a Laker fan. Those teams were fun. We picked up several young players, then when the time was right, positioned ourselves to sign Shaq and "draft" Kobe.

76ers is almost guaranteed to pick Simmons because his total skill set separates him from Ingram, most GM would draft him on that merit alone. As much as what the media wants some of y''all to believe, his shooting woes alone isn't enough to bring his stock down. There's a reason they are called "prospects" and Simmons all around game gives these GM's massive hard ons :lol

Even if Ben skips a personal workout with the 76ers, he'll most likely still end as the 1st pick of the draft. And just because Philly is front loaded with Okafor, Noel, Embiid, it doesn't mean they can't trade some of them away. Okafor will be shopped and traded in the summer, he was dangled mid season so it shouldn't be a surprise if Colangelo's turns him into a couple of win now, locker room glue guys.

I like Ingram mainly because of the fit and finding a premium shooting perimeter player with a knack on defense will put the Lakers development right on track. Of course, worst case scenario Philly gets too cute and goes for Ingram, Lakers gets a consolation price in Simmons. Fuck it, we'll take him too...:lol

:lol Trying to talk yourself into believing the Sixers are going to go full retard so the Lakers can draft the actual better player (Ingram).

If the Lakers don't like Simmons, I would look at going off on BOS and getting multiple picks. BOS was willing to unload a ridiculous amount of picks last year to CHA so they could get Winslow, so I can imagine they would be willing to do the same this year.

I would seriously consider trying to net multiple firsts for that 2nd pick and getting multiple pieces.

Still think ya'll should trade that pick. Get multiple picks back for it. You guys aren't one person away from contending. You're 3-4 people and at least 2-3 years away.

Lakers r slowly putting the pieces together...got the cap space now and gotta make moves. The problem is the league doesnt have a lot of talent to offer anymore for some bizarre reason.

We ain't hit bottom yet. Until we do that we're just drifting in the winds.

Your history of drafting isn't that great minus two or three gems. Your free agent signing has been fairly stellar.

The exuberance is expected. Hell, someone tried to post 30 wins next year. I'll take that. It's a wait and see time in Lakerland. So, temper the excitement and perhaps we'll be alright. Operative word is that first we need to have a defined path as to how to right the ship.

Of course the Lakers have hit the bottom already. When #12 took his final shot that night against Utha and finally left the court only the Kobestans in the audience were celebrating his legacy. Laker fans paid their respect, sure, but they celebrated the end of Kobes career. They had been held hostage long enough.

We have some nice young talent - all on cheap rookie deals. Can't wait for 1 Jul 2016 tbh. #1 on my wishlist: 23-year old Biyombo. He can defend P&Rs, nice shot blocker, he finishes plays wi T have authority, and I see he's developing a mid-range jumper which will help with spacing. Perfect big man whose prime is still 3-4 years away that will grow with D'Russ, Ingram, Clarkson, and Randle.

He'll get his weight up gradually. I can see him playing SG and SF this year until he packs on the pounds. He needs to add 25-30lbs which isn't hard to do. I remember gaining 22lbs of muscle in boot camp (which lasts only 8 weeks). I was 6' 156lbs out of HS. I graduated boot camp at 178lbs.

Ingram will have access to the best nutritionists, personal trainers, etc. that will ensure he packs on pounds the right and natural way.

Too early to declare D'Russ as a bust. :lol He still made 2nd team all rookie, despite playing within the constraints of Byron Scott's awefense. :lol

Regarding ingram, i mean that his face looks like one of a crack addict .. about his weight, i don't know, it's not as easy as people make it out to be, see jeremy lamb for reference.
