Eliminate us, then proceed to give up 3-1 series leads. Both championship potential too.

^last year was a bit of a championship hangover and injuries . This year, just a totally new system/team. Other teams had continuity

Have to agree. This coming from someone who actually thought we were good enough to win a title both years...unfortunately was proven wrong both times when we proceeded to shit the bed in the postseason.
And by the way, the Clippers had no chance at winning a title last year :lol

We would be 50/50 against Warriors. I don't see how they guard Aldridge.
Like we were 50/50 against OKC, 3 games were decided in the last plays and by bizarre calls.
But of course internet forum users have to have shit takes like "Wow that means Warriors would beat us"
Hey dummy, it was pretty obvious that OKC, GSW and SAS were extremely close. If these series were played again we could see us beating Thunder, or Thunder beating Warriors. There wasn't a basketball difference, just some momentum, luck and calls. Specially luck and calls.
Funnily enough, even losing, I thought Thunder had the control of the game against Warriors, way more than against us. It was not untill game 5 and 6 that Thunder started to bully our tired body in the boards.
Long story short, if we have a corpse 5 who can defend in the mold of Ayers instead of David fucking West, we are in the finals.

Fact: no team ever beat Duncan/Parker/Ginobili and went on to win it all (except Heat in which case there was no further series). Spurs death rattle curse.

The Spurs have been so successful the past fifteen years that every season that doesn't end in a championship is considered a "failure." For them to win 67 games in a season where the big 3 all play reduced roles is a small miracle. It's extremely rare for an elite team to significantly change their personnel with no down years-- just ask the Lakers and the Celtics....
Clips last year, OKC this year... Custer's Last Stand. All three are fucking history. The good guys lost - unless you happen to be one of the other guys.
It's kind of funny that after the Battle of the Little Bighorn, the analysis was that it was "a bad match-up, and they just made more shots than we did." I think there's a lesson here, but I'm too fuckin lazy to look for it.

Irrelevant, at 24 years of age Kawhi had accomplished more then Curry at 24. Doesn't matter that Curry was in the league for 2 years, 24 is still 3 years away from prime, 6 years away from the 30 year old decline. The point is 24 year old Curry was practically written off then look what happened.
