GS depth and offense is too much for Cleveland
Team is devastating

Warriors with half the freethrows and Curry/Thompson held under 10 points and still blowing out the Cavs :lmao
Refs are gonna have to step their game up big time to make this series even remotely close.

GS has too much firepower. Cleveland may get one game at home, but that's it.

Not Portland, but TOR and LAC > Spurs from mid-Feb onwards.
Stfu, if you actually believe that you are so fucking dumb. We peaked after the all star break, we lost to a ref assisted team, we may not have beaten GS but we wouldve been competitive.
The corpse of Mo Williams.

Cleveland basically a 3 man team when playing a good West team
Golden State's experiences through the playoffs have...gotten them too much experience points. That Thunder series place them at at an unstoppable level. The bar has been raised...again. The gap of separation in the quality of experience when it comes to both these teams is insurmountable. Nothing is going to stop this train.

Spurs' depth just disintegrated by the time the playoffs rolled around. They were also incapable of closing games against a team extremely prone to choking (as we saw all season and as recently as last week). Spurs were just not all that good this year.

And Green transcends them. He's an extremely effective basketball player.
You should, but, you cannot account for him. You're too busy accounting for Curry & Thompson.

Most of those wins came against weak competition in the beginning of a season where 80% of the NBA is tanking. I agree they weren't that far off from beating OKC all things considered, but in the end OKC was better (along with several other teams).

Green was effective with the Livingston, Barbosa, Iguodala, Barnes, lineup. They would have won the game without Curry and Thompson. I don't believe the Cavaliers respect the ability of the rest of the Warriors players. I noticed he was quietly effective like Tayshaun Prince. He was much more invisible because he wasn't being his loud mouth self this game. Didn't see any antics at all. Very quiet game in which he led in assist and rebounds. Most of all..excellent defensive game.

Cavs don't stand a chance.. Maybe with 2009 - 2011 Lebron they could push this thing to 7 but it's going to be a clean sweep or Cavs will wake up for 1 game and make it a 5 game mercy killing.

Warriors have 3 of the 4 best players on the floor, much better bench, better defense by a huge margin, better coach, more versatility, and benefited from having the tougher road to the Finals(NBA fans seem to stupidly believe that having an easy road translates to better Finals results:lol )

Golden State just has the Cavaliers outclassed. It is what it is. I thought this series would be more competitive. I forgot how good the Warriors are, tbh. That's my bad.
Warriors = Early '90s Cowboys
Cavaliers = Early '90s Bills
I hope the Cavaliers can somehow win Game 3 so I'll have something other than the conclusion of a sweep to look forward to in Game 4. They finally scheduled a Finals Game for a Friday, I at least want to look forward to it.

I watched the game at a sports bar tonight and everyone agreed Lebron's offensive game is probably the ugliest of the all-time greats. The multiple travels (I can't believe they were calling them tonight :lol ), the broke jumpshot, and the fact that he can't finish like he used to just makes his game look like a trainwreck. I knew he was done mentally when Curry defended him on a switch and rather than take a jumper over that midget he passed it out to a teammate who was covered in no man's land beyond the 3 point line for a tougher shot. Lebron has no faith in his jumper whatsoever and he's looking like the 2011 Finals version so far.

I do think LeBron would have benefited from a coach like Pop - someone who doesn't put up with his shit. The dude had the potential to dominate with a post game, but he fell in love with the idea of outside jumpers.
With a body like that, he wants to be Reggie Miller, ffs.

More like 2008 ECSF Bron when he was BRUTAL for the first 2 games of the series against an all-time defensive team. In 2011, the pressure EVENTUALLY got to him but in 2008 he was frustrated by the defense & couldn't make a jumper to start the series

Okay dude, Ill put my post in here that I made in the Thunder vs Warriors thread, Im not trying to hide anything.
So the warriors will be in control for 95% of the game with a comfortable lead and it will tighten late? Lol
Cleveland is gonna get their ass whipped in this series. They might even get swept.
At this point, rooting for Lebron is just setting yourself up for more disappointment, its gonna be the Warriors in 4 or 5. They were a no contest matchup in the regular season, winning by like 30 each time. Just accept it and hope someone can step up to the plate next year, and with Durant leaving, that means its gonna be up to the Spurs to stop them.

Didn't bother watching the NBA finals game 1 and don't plan to watch it, this will be a sweep or Warriors in 5. I would have watched Thunder/Cavs though. Don't care who wins this, so will just check the Final box score.
Me too.I wonder if OKC vs GSW got more hype/tv ratings. That series had a few thriller games.
I didn't think Cavs had a chance to begin with against GSW and I find series this lopsided and predictable boring unless I was watching my own team and even blowouts from my team are only interesting for me bc I like watching my team's younger roleplayers develop.
Good for GSW, not hating on them since I don't care for either team but it's a really boring product as far as entertainment.

Kerr :lol
Once again who's going to stop the Warriors next season?
They have a dynasty going looming forward into the distance. Klay Thompson is 25 and has two years until his prime. Look at the accomplishments of Klay thus far before his prime. Chilling. Green is 25...look at his accomplishments as being an all around Elite player at his size filling that stat sheet. 5 more seasons till they become 30.
Stephen Curry is still 27...in his prime. He still has years of basketball in him and if he goes the Nash route, even more. He doesn't need to get to the rim and wear his body to score. His accomplishments, the best three point shooter in NBA history and the best overall scorer on every distance on court.
Harrison Barnes isn't even close to becoming whole and has a title on under his belt at 23. 7 more seasons till he becomes 30. He's still raw.
Their youth is scary for the NBA going forward. How are they going be stopped. Opposing teams can't build a team from scratch one year with the right peaces and expect to beat the warriors. That takes years.
Lebron, to his fans delusion and denial, is aging and isn't getting any younger. He's 31. As he ages, The Warriors core moves ever closer to their prime.
Durant, Lillard and Westbrook, have the only teams capable of challenging the warriors..but still don't have the cohesion and experience to perform like the Warriors do.
Spurs core is all but finished physically. The new generation must live up to the veterans now.

Provided GS can keep the team together (one big IF), and provided they stay healthy (another big IF), I don't see anyone taking 4 of 7 from them in the playoffs for years to come. This team could easily win 5 straight titles. No bullshit. They're that good.

Not a lot of people understand this, but this is the first time since 2011 where LeBron deserves blame. He can't shoot for shit, doesn't have the athleticism to lockdown anyone and the Warriors are just fine facing him 1v1. He also wasn't great in the Finals last year (he was much better in 2014 tbh but spurs4thewin, has the IQ of a cucumber, probably doesn't think so) but the media let him get away with it because he's the good guy again and no longer with the bad guys in Miami

1. MJ Bulls pre-baseball
2. MJ Bulls post baseball
3. Shaqobe Lakers
Now look at how the 2peats have crashed and burned in year 3 ...
1. Heatles
2. Kobepau Lakers
3. Clutch city
4. Badboy Pistons
5. Showtime Lakers
That third leg for a 3peat was tough for ALL of those teams
And for the teams that failed to make win the 3rd, almost all flamed out in mighty fashion ...

All depends on Klay Thompson's vagina. If he misses the rest of the game the Dubs' potency for a three-point barrage decreases greatly.

Won't matter. Dubs will have the lead at the half. Dubs will win Game 3. Dubs will sweep the Cavs. Book it.
