Spurs would be picking up a nice young player. Pelicans would be picking up Tony Parker.

That's some top notch trade analyzing. I'm surprised some NBA franchise hasn't picked you up.

Thanks I think. Honestly, I didn't spend a lot of time on it. Sometimes, I'll integrate stats but I've got a lot of the info in my head anyway.

Holiday is a .439 shooter and 25 years old. Parker is 34 right now.

At 25 years old, Parker was averaging 22/7 on 50% shooting and had a FMVP under his belt. The only season he ever shot that bad was as a 19-year-old rookie. No thanks.

Well, we don't have that Tony Parker on the roster anymore. It's about upgrading. It would also leave the Spurs an additional $5,000,000 to spend on Dwight Howard.

Stop dreaming. The Spurs won't trade Parker, it's not gonna happen.

Parker is retiring a Spur folks. Said it like 100000 times already... Pointless to discuss TP trades honestly

if he wants to coach or Gm he could be sold into playing player coach to get a leg in on the org.

Not happenings. Pelicans won't take on $30 million over owed the next two season to a 34-year-old PG who's 8th/9th man material.

That said, I'd rather have Porker over the Holiday character tbh.

I hope the Spurs don't trade TP unless he wants a trade (he won't).

I doubt he does.. Maybe in a couple yrs. Despite the popular belief, he's still decent. His role has changed a bit but he's s capable of getting guys involved on the team.

Who knows, maybe he comes off the bench if we happen to land someone else

Unless the pelicans are bringing in a young pg to groom with tp, not sure that makes sense. Holiday does make sense for the spurs though. Great size and length at the position, which the spurs love in their prospects. He also is a strong finisher and capable slasher with decent vision. He didn't play in much of a system, which could have hindered or inflated his ability. Hard to tell. He looks to take the open 3 at times without hesitation which would also fit the spurs perfectly. They need more legitimate triggers out there.

His defense is good with potential to be much more. Could see his defensive evolution being very productive in San Antonio. He would definitely fit the spurs needs and the pelicans would be looking to move him with his deal coming to an end, especially if they're looking to pickup a new pg.
