If you like hummus you'll probably like falafel, it's alright depends how good its made. Same texture like a meatball almost

Are falafels strictly middle eastern? When I used to eat meat I noticed a huge difference with Gryos-turkish kabobs or persian etc...

Wandering what specific cusine offers the best...

Does that fit into a vegan diet?

Properly prepared hummus is way better than regular bean dip out the fucking can.

Is it similar to a Porterhouse or a T-bone steak?

Really depends on freshness. Well, that could be said about anything really. When I dated my es (Vegetarian) she took me to a spot that made the best falafels. Unfortunately, the proprietor passed away and it wasn't the same after that. But it's a nice change of pace if you're not eating meat.

It's probably the best vegetarian dish there is and really the only "meat substitute" entree I'll even eat. The good ones from real Mediterranean/Middle Eastern/SW Asian owned restaurants are really delicious... the crappy/unauthentic ones from American chains like Pita Pit are crappy.

Must come with extra warm hummus, spicy chili sauce, cucumbers, dark lettuce/cabbage, and dill spear pickles. Yum
