As a lover of defense that's one of my favorite games of all-time. Pippen put on a defensive clinic in that game taking charges on everybody including Malone multiple times coming full steam ahead. He paid the price with the back injury but the Bulls demoralized the Jazz in that game.

The back injury actually first came against the Charlotte Hornets in Game 3 or 4 of the ECSF. Pippen played through it but taking the charges on Malone in Game 3 really screwed it up. He got a cortisone shot for Game 4 and played great but then it started taking its toll in Game 5 in which he played horrible and Game 6 he got another shot but he could still hardly move. He tried to dunk and just aggravated the injury lol.

I would say it sucks being a fan on the losing end of the best Finals game ever, but we got revenge on the same team the next year, and I was there to witness it. So it was actually more of a blessing.
