Jock Tax

Wasn't aware of this. Says that if the Cavs have to travel back to GSW, the players, coaches, trainers, etc. have to pay a tax to California. Says that it's even more than some of those traveling will make.
Probably not 100% unbiased article. But interesting.

It's state income tax. You work in California you pay their income tax. It shouldn't be controversial

Because it's a flat tax at the highest rate. According to the article, a trainer is paying the same rate as the athlete.
Unlike the application of the tax to residents where it's based on income.

That being said, I'm wondering if the article is wrong on that point.
