"I'll be okay as long as Pop is happy" Meaning.. I'll still get the bulk of the minutes in crunch time and be allowed to take too many shots late in the 4th because I have Pop by the balls.

:lol
He basically said everything you haters want except "I'm fucking (insert posters name here)
The context of the quote is "would you be cool on the bench" and he said "whatever makes pop happy". The author did not note any sarcasm or tension in the statement so you can assume it's true.

The very first sentence of the article notes parker is posting the fewest minutes of his career.

Parker had a good year
Agreed. The problem was the bench. Pop said it himself

Hopefully he's not part of our best lineup or we are fucked.

Another season of Porker:
1. Offseason headlines about how Porker is "willing to accept his new role" and take a backseat.
2. The regular season starts.
3. Porker dribble-dribble-dribbles and heroballs his way through the season while freezing out Kawhi.
4. GNSF blames Kawhi.
5. The playoffs start.
6. Porker lives up to his "second biggest choker in NBA history behind Malone" pedigree and shits down his leg. More overdribbling, more heroballing, more bricks, and he puts up another negative postseason BPM even against the scrubbiest point guards in the league.
7. GNSF blames Kawhi.
8. Spurs lose in the playoffs.
9. Offseason headlines about how Porker is "willing to accept his new role" and take a backseat.

I've stated many times Parkers best role for next year is being our 6th man..
I really think he could be really good at it and it will allow him to have the same focus and kindest each game. Don't worry about getting Kawhi and LMA going..come in and attack. My only concern I dunno who we replace him in the line up with...and it ain't Patty Mills.

No doubt his minutes will be cut but when it comes to crunch time Pop will roll with him because he believes in his clutch play making abilities.

You forgot between 2 and 3 "Parker looks like an All-Star in November, Porkerfans salivate and point fingers"

Wish his salary would reflect his changing role...
