Have to give him credit..he was their 4th best player in this series..

He put the work in at his old age to become a quality time player, rather than getting out of shape and collecting checks..

Lol it just amuses me how dramatic these guys try to be on tv. Especially that LeBron fake injury at the end, just to add to the storyline. Not hating on them winning, I take it over Raymond and Curry winning again. But wow, these dudes know how to sell the drama good

He was still athletic at his current age and got the most out of his body. I'm not going to hate on him for his failures with the Spurs. For some guys it takes failing a bunch of times before they finally come through and become a winner. RJ was persistent and eventually it paid off.

I just watched his post game interview on NBATV and he said his teammates tried talking him out of it, but he said he was held together with duct tape and superglue. Said the past month of this NBA season was the most stressful of his life ;). Looks like he's had enough. He never really was one for the mental game. I guess I give him props for his persistence, but IMO he just didn't have much mental toughness for most of his career.

As for his time on the Spurs, after just watching him for about month on the team, I didn't really want him on the Spurs anymore. He lost me really quickly. I called it real early into his tenure here. A lot of people on various forums said I was an idiot and that he needed more time. Turns out I was right about him, and the FO and most fans took about a year and a half longer to figure that out.

I think he would have been a good pickup last season or the year before as a min-salary guy. He had played his best with Manu, so coming off the bench to be a shooter/finisher would have been helpful the past few years. Issue is that he sucked just a little too much in his time as a high-salary guy. Had he come on with Kawhi as a starter, I think he'd still be in SA.

I don't know if he'd say it, but the Spurs did a lot for him. They were the team that took him from being a star and help transition him toward becoming a role-player.

I definitely agree with everything you said. The Spurs wanted RJ to have a big role but he wasn't mentally strong enough or suited for that. I remember there was a game against Portland during the first month of the season he was here in which he played really well but the spurs still ended up losing by double digits. For some reason after that game I felt he wasn't the ideal fit.

Buddy, I am not against your religious views and whatnot but trying to win me over with nothing but bs from a book you read that's bs that was created by bs people isn't something I'd put much stock in. Look around, what church didn't cost millions to construct, what about all the preacher's who don thousand dollar suits and live in mansions? If that's what you're trying to win me over with, you're barking up the wrong tree brother.

To each their own.

As for dragons, they hold their place in many different ethnic circles and mythology isn't just something confined to christian's.

In Japanese culture the dragon has many different meanings. If you're a koi swimming up stream and you reach the peak, you change into a dragon koi and then you fly away. The representation of achieving your goals can't be compared with your limited knowledge about such a mythological being.
