He became a completely different player following the injury, tbh..went from being historically dominant to just good..

^^^ eye popping. The team also won several games in the playoffs without him. The GsW were incredibly talented and deep as a team with a system and passing that suited him. The attention he got was of benefit to his teammates as much as the quality of his teammates brought out the best of him. If he were in the current Blazers I don't think he plays better than Damian Lillard.

wasn't there a public poll that ranked Curry ahead of Shaq as a playoff performer?

Yes he was very likely injured.
But I dont excuse poor decisons like the behind the back pass late in game 7 or the numerous unforced turnovers.
IF lebron makes a great play to steal the ball or block a shot ...I dont blame steph.
But when he makes turnovers out of basic traps or goes for the homerun pass he deserves to be called out.

Curry's a different case because teams plan to stop him by throwing everyone at him. He's not big, not athletic, just quick, fast and historical level deadly accurate. He's not going to bowl people over to get to the paint like Westbrook or Lebron, and he's not going to shoot over people like KD or Dirk. He gets his through the normal allowed space defenders give shooters. Curry capitalizes on that space so they shrink it and body him up. Unlike other stars he has enough guys on the team who can score and today's NBA teams focus on ball movement more than iso ball, at least most of them.

Though the stat is interesting, there's more to it. But sure, ignore him. He's done. No need to double team him at the halfcourt.

It's a regular season award. Laugh at the award, not the player. He was dominating in the reg season

Now you can crow about playoff basketball, but that's not currys fault that playoffs have different rules on contact.

There's a good chance that curry can get rules changed if he consistently looks like the best player, but diminishes in the playoffs. The league would have to admit the reg season is not worth watching bc the results are not relevant. I'm not sure they'll take the honest route here.

:lol the league showcasing him for barely one season only to have his gimmick flame out in the playoffs. At least KD lasted a couple seasons of doo doo jump before the league dumped him.
