Indeed. But our offense is in the fuckin' toilet. 27th in OPS :lol. Irritating, considering all of our other team metrics rank in the top 5.

Crosby's point total was mediocre but he created more scoring chances than anyone else this postseason + played against the top defensive lines while Phil got to play the other team's 3rd lines :lol Malkin was pretty shit until G4 in SJ.

I'd say only Matt Murray deserved it more than Sid

Crosby, while a great player, isn't the best hockey player in anyone's generation. Gretzky would probably be no.1 unless you're like super old and got to see Howe play, but you know how arguing for an old-timer goes around here.

Read an oral history on the New York Islanders dynasty of the early '80s and most of those guys thought Mark Messier was a better all-around player than Gretzky, fwiw.
