My god the Bulls FO sucks, better trade Butler and just blow it up and rebuild! Rose for the Knicks trash but I don't mind Lopez. I guess Knicks were taking a gamble as Rose could easily get injured again, but I would have rather just kept Rose a Bull. Not happy with this deal.

Great deal for the Knicks to get out of Lopez' contract now that Porzingod showed he is their future. That opens up some capspace for them to go after Westbrook next summer.

I don't know what the fuck Chicago was thinking here.

Thank god I am also a Spurs fan to! it really sucks to be a Bulls fan now. I have heard rumblings there might be more deals by the Bulls. I wouldn't mind if they traded Butler for Wiggins, but if they want to make the playoffs next season in the East might as well keep Jimmy.

Rose is done? At least in their eyes...

That's obvious, but I don't get the point of adding mediocre players instead of just letting him walk next summer and getting that capspace.

Great for the Knicks, horrible for Chicago.

I agree. Knicks get more cap space in 2017 and a 2nd round pick.

I agree. But, I'll let free agency/the draft end before I start wondering whether or not it was a good deal or not.

I don't know what they're going to do with these players, especially Lopez.

Yes, It's a pretty good rental, the only downside is it stunts Kristaps growth. I understand it's his sophomore season but given his unique talent, the Knicks should start incorporating him going forward.

I'm shocked.

I have thought about it and I am speculating but Derrick probably wanted out of Chicago. Of course we would never hear about it publicly, but he probably didn't like the way the FO was running this team and he gets to play with Melo. Bulls also must know that Noah, Pau are not coming back so this deal makes sense if that's the reason. Otherwise, it makes no sense if Derrick didn't want to leave. Of course Rose's camp requested a tight lip on this since he is a Chicago native. It's all pure speculation on my part, but it's the only thing that would make sense here for this deal that came out of nowhere.

I am not a Bulls fan, but as a Spurs fan I congratulate them. They pulled off an acquisition that I was hoping the Spurs could pull off. I would have titled this thread "Chicago gets RoLo."
