Excerpt of article from article at http://www.poundingtherock.com/2016/6/28/12046158/the-spurs-have-never-drafted-a-player-like-dejounte-murray

"Then there's Dejounte Murray (http://www.sbnation.com/nba/players/276622/dejounte-murray). Like Kyle, he fell. Like Kawhi, he's long, lean, and loves the gym. But before he plays a minute in Silver and Black, he's already different from both of those predecessors. And all of the rest of them to boot.
See, Murray is represented by Klutch Sports Group, which was founded by Rich Paul,LeBron James (http://www.sbnation.com/nba/players/21851/lebron-james)' friend and agent. This doesn't just place him alongside the newly re-crowned greatest player in the game, as well as John Wall (http://www.sbnation.com/nba/players/112569/john-wall) and Ben Simmons. It also allowed him to join UNINTERRUPTED, the self-styled multimedia network for exclusive sports lifestyle content (http://www.timewarner.com/newsroom/press-releases/2015/12/02/uninterrupted-secures-158m-financing-led-by-warner-bros), or an alternative Players' Tribune (http://www.theplayerstribune.com/) -- essentially, a media outlet created by athletes to tell their stories themselves. Which is where things start to get interesting.
So on the one hand we have an organization in the San Antonio Spurs with mottos likefamily business (which is code for "I won't answer that question because it's none of your business"), and leaders like Duncan and Gregg Popovich (http://www.sbnation.com/nba/players/98773/gregg-popovich) whose default mode is circle-the-wagons. On the other hand we have Murray and LeBron James' entire media empire who have a vested interest in making as big a splash as possible. I have no idea how this is going to pan out, but I'm appreciating our front row seat for the proceedings." (full article with video clips at url above)

Basis of article is that Murray is part of the Lebron James network that publicizes players---and this is something different from a newcomer to the Spurs. Lots of video clips that some may have seen before. I didn't know they were all part of a publicist's program to sell our new player to the public.

Eh, whoever wrote this article must not follow the international Spurs. The stateside players might be quiet, but for god's sake, Manu writes newpaper articles. And good luck getting Tony to keep something in-house. Murray and the Spurs will strike a balance, I think. We'll see a new dynamic anyway with the changing of the guard.
