I would..nigga can still play tbh. Wouldbt give him more than 1 year though. He plays 60 games every year and barely plays over 30 in RS games. :lol

Absolutely not. He'd be a poor fit with the starting lineup, and paying for $20 million (and moving people to clear that sort of space) for 60 games from a 6th man would be pretty dumb.
If we can fit it, sure. We are likely to lose depth though. If we move mills and Diaw, and fit him under for a year to run the second unit, why not? He still plays at an all star level.we apparently have 4-5 pgs for summer league and a bunch of bigs. If you're trying to win this year, it's worth a one else rental as we wait for Durant.

For one year? Hell yes, almost carried a Heat team without Bosh and Whiteside to the conference finals

In this market, I would be tempted to gamble on him as a win next season move. 20 million right now isn't 20 million last season. More like 15 million under last season's cap.
But I wouldn't want him to start. He would have to accept the Manu role. Or he could play the 2 in small ball lineups, with Green at the 3, Kawhi at the 4.
It would be a last resort move, though, should we strike out completely in FA.

I would take him as a 6th man(would be an atrocious fit with the starters), but there's no way he would accept that role..
It would be shocking if he left Miami, tbh..

A small ball lineup of Manu, Wade, Green, Leonard, LMA would at least give us a punchers chance.

If Spurs strike out on KD,
I'd pay Wade 80m over 4 years .
As much i hate to say it,
because he's 34,
he always brings it,
and he just averaged 20 a game.
And Wade wouldn't come over for any less
money or years.

Hmmm... move other players to clear up the $20M needed for a one-year rental of a sixth man?

It's a risk but what other options do we have... This is the best we can do. Great leadership, can get his own, and is clutch!

I'd pay him for a year, why not. Does nothing to next year's cap. I would spend 20 on Wade before I locked up PAU for some crazy price for the next few years
Flash can't even play 30 min a game anymore. Please stop this nonsense. Miami is not dumb. Absent some wink wink promise, no way they pay him more than $12 or so over three years. Spurs won't touch anything this year unless it's at a discount.

Ryan Anderson just got 20 million :lol
Fuck it. Let's gamble. We ain't winning standing pat. After the KD pipe dream gets busted, we need to make a move.
I think Wade is perfect. Aside from Harden, he's the closest thing in the league to Manu, who will be on his last legs last year.
If anyone can convince him to be our 6th man, it's Pop. Hopefully a chance at 4th ring overrides his ego.

If Durant does not sign, Wade and Gasol would not be a bad offseason for the Spurs. Older players, but have championship experience. Also if Duncan, Manu return the Spurs have an older team, but plenty of capable scorers.

That would take $40 million in capspace, the Spurs have about $12 million in capspace.

Yeah, but if they only field a 7-man roster? It's do-able. I say go for it.

I could see it as a Plan C or D if it meant only trading Diaw... one year isn't a big risk and he could potentially play both guard positions.

i would be very pleased with that if you can sell wade to play here for half of what he wants tbh
