A Gordon/Harden combo will be the worst defense imaginable.

If Solomon Hill can get that money I guess it's not too crazy.

Rockets just need to sign Antoine Walker now.

:lol The Rockets aren't even thinking about Defense anymore... they might as well start wearing Harlem Globetrotter uniforms..

They can take underhanded shots from under the other team's basket, keep confetti in their pockets, have someone play with a cat on their shoulder... it'll be fun.

The Suns were hot & heavy for him at one point. Had him signed then New Orleans matched it and the Suns ain't been worth a tinker's dam since. They were going to run Dragic at the point & Gordon at the 2 guard.

So you like him as a player? He is always hurt.

This will probably be the Rockets' starting 5.

G - Beverly
G - Gordon
F - Harden
F - Ariza
C- Anderson

They'll probably start Capela and bring Gordon off the bench. I know it's Pringles but I think Morey will want Capela to start.

No, I just remember that instance. It was all done. The Suns acted like it was a foregone conclusion, they warned New Orleans not to match, that he did not want to be there. Gordon warned them as well. But, they matched, told him and the Suns that he'd get used to it and the Suns walked away grumblin'. It was set. They rolled out the red carpet on Jefferson Street. Had a picture in the paper of Dragic & Gordon gettin' out of limos & walkin' on it.

The Suns never admit when they're beatin'. Just like when Teletovic signed in Milwaukee. "It ain't over." It's sour grapes. Like how Barry runs his presidency. Tell the lie first, then the truth. That way you get the best of both strategies. Never give in. The Suns did not want to lose to Jason Kidd on this Teletovic business. They hate him here.

Oh cool, Houston is trying to rebuild the 2012 Pelicans. Risky move, let's see if it pays off.

Despite their reputation for being big on advanced stats, it kind of seems like the Rockets don't pay any attention to them at all.

Morey isn't in charge as of right now. These are D'antoni and Les decisions.

It's amazing what happened to these highly touted GM's that excelled in analytics, they were once considered as the wave of the future but are now relegated as paper pushers or worse, canned.

Also worth mentioning, as far as basketball analytics have come, they're still in the relative stone-age compared to baseball.

There's a lot of additional analytic stats yet to be invented that are needed to really come close to quantifying player value in a vacuum. A couple I can think of is a consistency metric, some kind of fatigue metric (ex. just because an offense built around shooting 3s and penetration is the most efficient on paper, doesn't mean it will always work, considering the energy it takes on both ends to employ that kind of offense).

4 years of D'Antoni guarantees regression

Good riddance to him and Anderson one dimensional players who only shoot 3s and play no defense.
