What are our options? Hope Murray has a ROTY season? Play fathead at the point? Start Manu?

Speedy Claxton especially in a game 6

Murray. We already know Tony can't win that matchup unless he was 2012 or 2013 healthy. You have to roll the dice here. Worst case scenario is he gets valuable experience for the next years.

yeah Parker is going to be the biggest hole in that lineup and I'm worried about Pop being too stubborn to realize that

We don't have an option. Durant ruined the league.

Spurs were eyeing Conley and drafted a PG and have been looking at others. I think they are aware TP sucks at this point.

HAHA.. yeah Parker is going to get sonned every time he enters the game.

Not trying to hate on TP by the way. Serious problem SA needs to work out. Hopefully Pop figures something out and doesn't dick around all season only to change shit in a fucking elimination game.

Parker's going pass-first this year. He'll average 9 assists a game.

Spurs don't have a competent PG.

There's really no sense in trying to figure out how to beat this GSW team. If we do, it will be because one of their guys got injured or something incredible happens. Best thing to do now is not tie ourselves to any bad contracts for next summer and sign a bunch of prospects cheap for multiple years.

guys, can we trade Parker for Westbrook NOW???

is there a possibility?

07-04-2016, 11:39 AM
Doesn't matter now. I'm the biggest homer there is and there is no way we can beat this team unless somehow we get a guy like Chris Paul. Even then we'd still probably lose...

Spurs don't have a chance no matter what happens :lol They're also gonna play Draymond and Iggy at the 5 and 4

I think Tony is going to work hard on his defense for this year.
Like it or not he needs to became a 3 and d and pass guy to survive this era.

It's not even about him playing good defense, it's that most of GS players can just shoot right over him.

Parker can't play against anyone.

Can't even play spot minutes against GS because Livingston will abuse him in the post.

I wish butbut OKC gonna try their best to not lose 2 stars. If they do, they definitely going to want more than TP and slomo.

Trade Parker and don't give Manure the huge money he wants.... Time to get athletic. Trade them for picks like Boston did with KG and Pierce.

If Parker were to reinvent his game in this manner, then they would have a good chance.

Let time we played GS in the playoffs, Parker outplayed Curry. Can't say the same for any of the other Spurs. It's not Parker I'm worried about.

Still shoots 50% from the field, his 3 pointer has improved significantly since 2013 (43% & 42% the past 2 seasons) and he still creates his shot better than anyone on the team. Oh and he averages twice the assists that anyone else on the team does. He just isn't a top 5 player in the league anymore like he was a few years ago.

I made the same point (along w/ it being time for Tim to hang it up) when the offseason began but folks got their panties all bunched up.:lol

Tim retiring will send a strong message to PATFO that the team isn't a contender as constructed thus should get the dominoes falling. At this point, I'm hoping Pau signs with the Blazers so the Spurs can steal Harkless.:lol

Parker is one of about 3 guys who has ever outplayed Lebron in a playoff series. I'm serious when I say I'm not worried about him. It's our new breed of "superstars" that can't manage to get past the second round of the playoffs that worries me.

It means he's one of the only guys in the past 10 years with the killer instinct to take him out, just like he finished him off in the 4th quarter of G5 in 2014. And like he did in 2013 until the guys that don't have it choked it away.

This forum are fans of a bunch of guys who have ridden the big 3 coattails. They don't remember the Spurs taking out the Lakers in 2003 in LA (a team that had won 3 in a row, much more dominant than these colluding chokers). You have to have heart to face challenges...wish people on this forum had more.

parker is 34 years old. If he hasn't learned to play defense by now as he's been on the best franchise the past 14 years, HE AINT LEARNING THIS SUMMER!!

You can always pop in the championship DVDs and re-watch Tony's glory days, tbh... watch him cheering up Kerr, Claxton from the bench or when he finally stepped up and toyed with Boobie Gibson...

On that note, I miss that Pop, tbh...

Neither Parker nor Gasol will be able to play against the Warriors... unless they overplay Pachulia at the 5 for some weird reason. Then I guess Gasol won't be a complete disaster.

I have a feeling we're going to see a Ginobili, Green, Anderson, Leonard, Adridge lineup....

I don't care how much of a fan u are of Parker, but if you think an aging pg that's gonna be 35 next year can guard either green, durant, Bogut, curry, or thompson, then we don't need to discuss anything else pertaining to basketball, because you're a fool.

I'm more concerned with out SF that has had his will imposed upon by a 35 year old scrub and rookie.

You want to talk about wills getting imposed upon? Something called a "Langston Galloway" dropped 22 on Porker's ass not too long ago:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8NKlyA-yDeM

He just got cut today by the Knicks so they could sign known chucker and cancer Brandon Jennings instead. And that's just one of the many scrubs who have owned Porker throughout his career.

Hahaha so the worst you have on Parker is a game where someone went for 22/4, when Parker himself went for 21/6 and led the Spurs in scoring and assists like usual? Why don't you talk to some of the other scrubs who weren't at Parker's level that game (aka the rest of the team).
