View Full Version : Manu...

Is he a lock to return tbh?

I know it sounds crazy but it's looking like a summer of change for the Spurs with Timmy/Boris gone....two of the closest guys to Manu...

Manu and his agent have already made comments about getting paid this summer. I think him being let go is a realistic possibility....

It'll be a shame as Manu deserves to retire in Silver & Black. If it happens, I would have never thought that Pop would value his prized piggy at PG out of all the Big 3 tbh....

If it's for more than the minimum, let's hope not.

Manu in another jersey would feel so wrong on many levels. I think Manu plays another year, possibly years, with the Spurs.

But really, which team do you think would want Parker? And if it's just a salary dump, who starts at PG for the Spurs?

It looks like manu wants a last payday certainly more then the min.

Exactly, sure spurs could give him away and get what now?

The Spurs just salary dumped Diaw to open up space to pay Manu, so I'd venture it's extremely likely he's coming back. Probably for around $5 million or so.

Where have you been the past 14 years? He does. He helped bring FOUR rings to the Spurs.

They can't offer him anymore than the vet minimum. If he wants to get paid, it won't be there. Maybe Cleveland could up his salary some though.

Judging by his posts over the years his best friends on the team seemed to be Splitter, Boris, and Patty. The loss of the first two will reinforce the business side of this, and make him less inclined to take less from the Spurs "family."

That said Manu in another uniform would make me impossibly sad. Just short of Timmy retiring. :(

Fuck it. Might make the Warriors season tolerable.

He'll be back if there's any money left, tbh... the only team I could see luring him with a big money offer is the Clippers due to GM Doc.

I mean, I suppose Kerr would also value him, but they're pretty stacked at the guard position on their bench.

They should pay him out of respect for being the greatest guard in Spurs history, tbh..

If they don't want to show the money, I wouldn't be angry if he joins the Cavs for the minimum if he wants another shot at a ring(since he won't get his money)

If, and I emphasize IF he were to leave and sign with another club, my preference would be LA.

I think being a Laker will get him the well-deserved attention and admiration from a bigger base than the Spurs.
I would even say he'd be the toast of that roster.

He'd start and be able to score as much as he wants without having to abide by the system.

But again that's simply a hypothetical on my part.

Yeah we lose Manu then we've lost Nono and DAF. We lose Porky then Brazil is gone. Tough choices ahead either way, glad I'm not making em.

funny you think Pop liked Porky the least when I always thought it was obvious he was the douchey prodigal son Pop always wanted imo.

They FOR SURE do not win with out him in 05 and 07. They most likely do not win without him in 03 and maybe even in 14.

The man made sacrifices throughout his career with both his money and his starting position. Shitty trolling job bro.
