The second one is in spanish, but he says that "As expected, I will continue my career in San Antonio. I will play my 15th season with the same team. Great privilege!"

Excellent! So Boban is likely gone or Patty? Or both? I need to do my numbers.

Roster as of now
Parker/Mills/Murray
Green/Manu/Simmons
Leonard/Bertans
Aldridge/Anderson
Pau

I really, really hope he does everything he can to stay healthy. And he can't carry the bench anymore. Just be a decoy and facilitator, and really work that 3-point shot.

He has stayed relatively healthy the past couple of years, so I'm expecting a big injury this year following his last olympic games. it's about time.

Was he evolving into a good spot-up 3-point specialist, or was that just my hope-skewed view?

I wonder if this is just bullshit or if some team actually tried throwing like $10+ million at Manu for a 1-year deal. Can't imagine any team would do that. Manu is a great piece for a contender looking to improve, but I don't think any contenders have that sort of money (certainly not to throw at Manu). If it's a middling or garbage team, I don't know why the hell they'd want to spend that money on him either. *shrugs*

Anyways, guesses on how much money he got from SA?

Doubt it. A man of Manu's age serves no purpose to a rebuilding team. It surely was from a playoffs team, most likely a contender. I wouldn't be shocked if it was from GS, tbh. They lost some depth and Kerr loves Manu's game.

A chance of playing for the best team in the league is a "big offer" in itself. Specially under Manu's thinking.

Maybe nut his agent was talking about the increase in money around the league and how Manu was aware of the market. He wasn't going to go play for the minimum and chase rings. He wanted more than the 2.9 he was gonna get and play for someone who's in the conversation. Cavs have no money, Clip have no money, GS has no money.. It was San Antonio or bust.. I'm sure the Spurs could have played hardball and got him for cheaper but why not just pay him some cash especially since it'll be over the cap and only for 1 year.

Miami? It could have been a number of teams.

Few players who contribute to winning as much as Manu are this cheap.

10 million and he'll still be significantly underpaid.

Basically what I got from the video is that if Manu got paid ($5 million or so), it means that Duncan is retiring. And with reports that Manu got a bump, that's what it seems like from my point of view.

This is great news. I can't believe that there are actual Spurs fans here who want Parker and Ginobili gone. Without those two the Spurs are light THREE championships. THREE! We don't win 2005, 2007, 2014, and maybe 2003, without Parker and Manu, and don't even sniff the 2013 finals without Parker. These guys deserve to be Spurs for life.
