Much like when DRob retired and Tim wanted to win without him.

Keepin' it real

Gotta feeling Pop will retire mid-season.

Nah, Pop is content and the Spurs are poorly built.

Aldridge is a puss who needs a very specific type of player next to him to perform well, and Pau certainly isn't it. Then we have Tony Parker as our starting PG.

Would have loved to have seen what Boban and Johny Simmons would have contributed these playoffs.
But but but we can't have crowd enthusiasm.

Gotten us over the ThunderRef hump and who knows how we would have done vs Golden Phaggot.

More likely that he will continue losing interest every year, as has been the case since 2014:lol it's only natural at his age, tbh..

Hopefully it's true. I believe! Maybe not this season, but soon. He doesn't have many more years in his contract anyways and has a lot of coaching to do with a new wave of young players.

It will be a challenge with a new team that is now being developed to complement Kawhi but would be great for the old man to win with a different star.

What he will do is bring back Bonner and play Fathead meaningful playoff minutes.

LOL Pop has been getting his ass handed to him for two straight years now when the playoffs come around. It's only getting worse from here. He's done as THAT coach. He's just an elite architect at this point, someone new needs to actually coach it.

I've felt this way for the last couple of years now. I seriously hope we're wrong.

If the Spurs can beat the super team, they'll deserve to ring. I'm not holding my breath.

Are you joking? With Kyle playing 20 plus minutes per game this upcoming season we will get raped again in the second round.

Bonner to the rescue

Matty, the Red Rocket, goes to the reptilian illuminati, bows downs and worships, he is granted a massive DNA upgrade then

Has an MVP season, averaging 30 ppg, 15 rpg and 12 apg!!!!!!

hahahahahahahahaahahahahahah

this years finals is basically the Western Conference Finals... odds are stacked, but it is possible.

Umm nope. He's been on the decline for years now. Not even the best coach in the league anymore.

Did Poop step down to take an assistantship under Kerr or Lue? Cause he ain't ringin' on the merits of his own coaching anymore, tbh

Gentlemen, you are too harsh on our father Pop........

give him this season to prove himself, we might be pleasantly surprised....

Pop needs to retire. He's been detrimental to the team last couple years.

Didn't Pop always jokingly say he would walk out the door right behind Timmy?

Detrimental? Easy there, don't think that's the right word, Spurs rang 2 years ago.

Like 2014, it could end up his finest moment.

Spurs will get to the WCF this year.. Pop will walk away next season when Manu walks away and it'll allow the Spurs to deal Parker on an expiring.. At that point you go get Rick Carlisle and keep winning.

Like 2014, it could end up his finest moment.

But then 2014 wouldn't be his finest moment, therefore destroying the analogy. Kind of a catch 22.

Pop won't do anything different unless he has different people. Pop has always built his house from the material available. Sometimes it's been straw and mud.
