The game 7 QUIT. And to top it off, Phillip excusing the QUIT and blaming it on his teammates.

After Leandro Barbosa (http://www.nba.com/playerfile/leandro_barbosa/index.html) helped the Phoenix Suns to a big lead, Kobe Bryant (http://www.nba.com/playerfile/kobe_bryant/index.html) decided to do nothing about it.

...

in a puzzling disappearing act, Bryant deferred to his teammates in the second half Saturday, taking just three shots and scoring one point on a technical free throw.

"If we were going to get back in this type of game we had to have everybody contributing," Bryant said. "In the first half I started to pick it up offensively just to keep us in the hunt. If we were going to get back into the game in the second half everybody has to get into a rhythm and that didn't happen."

"We wanted to get back in the game so we were running things through other guys," Lakers coach Phil Jackson (http://www.nba.com/coachfile/phil_jackson/index.html)said.

No, that was Kobe showing leadership. Retiring between seasons is no way near as honorable as purposely playing like shit to make your designated father figure (Jim bus) mad.

Duncan quit and took 6.4 million dollars which is much money and not like 1/20 offof the cap which is paid over a number of years so to minimize the cap impact further. Duncan totally hijacked the franchise by taking that 1//40 th share.

Its too bad Dr. Bust was not around to see what his whiny ass rapist did to his franchise.
This last year of Kobe chucking and his teammates watching is something a proud LA franchise can look back to with pride and honor. It's so perfect for the absolute zero character of the fans and their heroes. It's, beautiful. I enjoyed last season's freak show Lakers like no other.

You're suffering from media saturation. For the past 3 days you've read nothing but high praise for Tim Duncan and "top 10 all time" comments from every pundit around while Kobe spent a year trying to get some love across the entire world and still is 12.
