Like I promised, I am posting this to let everyone know that our brand new restaraunt is now open for business. Fine steaks and seafood...great wine...and gorgeous barstaff. We are located on the corner of Broadway and Sunset, just past Rebar, Karma, and Revolution room...next to SoLuna. Come out and enjoy some great food and great drinks. Maybe hang out in the bar/lounge area and watch some sports on our huge flatscreen. Ask for me, Jeremiah, in the bar. Come tonight, come tomorrow, come the next day...just don't come on Sundays (we're closed). Our hours are Mon-Sat evenings.

BigMaddyDaddy--no drink specials per say...although a happy hour may be something we look at in the future if we have the business to support it. However, we do have a great drink menu with a variety of cocktails and martinis, a few beers on tap, and a fantastic wine list that was put together by the former wine sommenlier from Ruth's Chris. Don't worry though, our prices are nowhere near as expensive as RCSH.

SpursWoman--you probably have to just look harder. We are located in the back corner of The Collection shopping center. You can see the SA Prime logo on the front of the building.

Vashner--unfortunately I don't have any pics to load for you guys....no scanner. However, I do gaurantee that it has a nice contemporary feel to it.

Everybody, do yourself (and us) a favor and come check us out. Our phone number is 798-5630 if you would like to make a reservation sometime in the near future.

Tell him to read this thread. It's a long drive from Portland. I think he's looking at things backwards. You shouldn't wait to see if you have the business to support a happy hour...happy hours generate business.

Tlong makes a huge point, people come in for the drink specials and stay for the food, remember this is San Antonio, the number 1 binge drinking city in the world

You don't need to talk down to me. I have worked in bars/restaraunts for over 6 years now. I know how happy hours work. Everyplace I've been in never had a happy hour and survived just fine. We'll get the people in the door first...then decide if it is a good idea for a happy hour. Like I said in one of my posts, nobody should complain about the prices on our liquor, beer, and wine.

While I can't discount everything (I'm just the head bartender, not the manager)...but if you come in for a few drinks, mention who you are...I will probably graciously buy a round for ya. Like I said earlier...our prices are not by any means expensive.

nothing but Black Angus beef (arguably the best breed of cow for meat), fresh seafood daily, and did I mention that we have a ridiculosly HOT barstaff? I'm the only male...peace out kiddies. I've gotta run to work. Tonight I will post a copy of our menu for those who are interested.

Why it got to be the BLACK Angus? I mean, you just gonna let the red Angus run around and eat grass all day, but you gonna kill the mf'ing BLACK Angus and eat him? :lol

I am assuming you meant the certified Angus program. It only requires a majority of Angus influence, and must meet carcass marbling and cut requirements. So not all Certified Angus meat is pure Angus (actually, a good deal of it is actually Brangus, a 5/8 Angus to 3/8 Brahama cross), and not all Angus meat is Certified Angus quality.

But it all tastes good.:tu

yeah, I'm the head bartender. As for Amaretto Sours...uhhh, amaretto and sweet and sour. Pretty much can't screw it up. They are 5.25 (I believe). No dress code. While we aren't "fine dining", it is a classy joint. I wouldn't suggest coming in with cut-offs, a wife beater, and sandals with socks....but we aren't going to turn anyone away because of their dress.

So come in...I'll make plenty of amaretto sours for ya.

Never heard of what you are talking about....but I do know that Black Angus is a specific type of cow that is bigger and bears "fattier" meat, which leads to more flavor. Our steaks are prime and come from Harris Farms (a big meat supplier out of Cali).

Actually you'd be surprised how many places make shitty amaretto sours. It's ridiculous, and I never go back if they screw up my drink.

And you just might get me in there when you put it like that... ;)
