This shall be an interesting match-up between the Sox. It could go down to the wire.

Right now, White Sox are owning the Red Sox, in game 1.

Dude that was protypical pre 2004 Red Sox.

Ball goes through the second baseman's legs, and then fatass Wells serves up a gopher ball.

I couldn't help but laugh.

It was all the Red Sox stuff, wrapped into 1 inning.

Game in hand, 1 out, simple double play, turns into a 5 run inning losing the game.

Graffanino = Buckner.

You do not call this a fluke? :wtf

The dude makes 3 errors all year, and this was by far the EASIEST PLAY of them all.

It was pure fluke, nothing more.

Sox have been in a huge hole the last 2 yrs, and climbed out each time with 3 straight against Oakland and 4 straight against NY, they have to do it again. One game at a time....the odds are against them, but since they have a history of doing it before, they have as good a chance as anyone to pull it off.

Jim, I just don't think they have the pitching this year. In the past they could throw Pedro, Schilling, or Lowe (when he was real good). Plus, Folke was a pretty good closer. This year will be much harder than the past.

Not likely Jim, those other teams had better pitching than this Red Sox team has.

Geez, can ESPN stop overanalyzing the error?

Only a fielding blunder by a Red Sox player would get this much attention.

While Id agree with you if they had a pitching staff.

Schilling nor Wakefield have it.

Freddy Garcia is a pretty damn good pitcher.

If not Wakefield then Schilling?? The same Schilling you think should be cut???

I said the game 2 was a fluke win because of the 3 UNEARNED runs.....

Today was legit, El Duque pitched his ass off. You do not keep the Red Sox from scoring with the bases loaded and no outs...nobody does that...not even Rivera.

Chicago was the better team this year, they won more 1 run games than any team in history this year, including the last 2 against my Sox. Their defense and pitching will keep them in every series. They will beat NY, if they play them, I have no doubt in that.

TPark, you are a moron. Boston swept St Louis last year in 4 games, only a true idiot would call that a fluke. :rolleyes

Did Boston lose?

Yes, that's all that matters... and excuses are very stupid. I know I will be hearing about Graf's error for a while after someone wins the world series.

The fact was that on that series, the better team won. Atleast you lost to the White Sox, and not to the Yankees.

If you have 3 Unearned runs and win by 1 run, that is a fluke.

Graffinino had a grand total of 3 errors all year(lowest by a second baseman in AL), so when he lets a slow roller go through his legs to lead to a 3 run HR.....that is a fluke, it would not happen in 300 more plays with the same ball...that means it was a fluke.....

I did not say that Chicago did not deserve to win the series.

DO YOU UNDERSTAND THE WORDS COMING OUT OF MY MOUTH?????

It would be much cooler if Houston wins it's first championship.

Houston is a class organization who have never ruinied baseball's integrity by throwing a World Series for 30 pieces of silver.

If there is a God, this corrupt and despicable franchise will never win it again.
