First of all: Happy BDay Manu:
758649035892858881

Personally, I am looking forward to seeing him teach, coach and help the new generation Spurs.

Last RS Manu's USG% through the RS was at 23.4%. He was the highest usage player in the team after Kawhi and LMA. http://basketball.realgm.com/nba/teams/San-Antonio-Spurs/26/Stats/2016/Advanced_Stats/Qualified/usg_pct/All/desc/1/Regular_Season

Then in the playoffs his USG% took a dive to 15.6% and that was the 7th usage in the team behind: Kawhi, LMA, Tony, Patty, DWest and Diaw. http://basketball.realgm.com/nba/teams/San-Antonio-Spurs/26/Stats/2016/Advanced_Stats/Qualified/usg_pct/All/desc/1/Playoffs

With Manu a year older and the Spurs adding a lot of youth to the team, I think this is the season the Spurs need to start shifting the scoring burden to others even though Manu can probably still kill it in the RS so long as he's healthy, on most nights. But I think at this point, his biggest contribution is the teaching and training of others and introduction into the Spurs way, while at the same time he helps the team in general. So ultimately, what I look forward to seeing the most is how Manu imparts wisdom.

I love Manu, but I'm looking forward to seeing him on the bench in crunch time in the playoffs. If the Spurs rely on him to close out games, they're doomed. See 2015 and 2016 for reference.

THIS ^

Manu should not be on the court for close outs, let alone have the ball...
He's been horrid in this situation for a few years now tbh

A solid season with limited turnovers where he doesn't get hurt...and one more pass between a defenders legs to a teammate for a layup.

I look forward to the handful of times we get the thread title "Ditka could't have stopped Manu tonight."

I am also looking forward to starting a new thread, "Manu couldn't have stopped Ditka tonight."

Other than that, the heart of a champion and some unpredictable moments, both kinds.

I look forward to him continuing to be the engine that makes the 2nd unit go. Its just in his nature to come in and be impactful. Especially if he is in there with Pau, the pick and roll should be fun to watch.

The younger guys need to continue to watch and learn from him, just how to come in and be impactful, even if the offense is struggling. Being competitive and laying it all on the line. Those games Manu sits out, I hope to see the younger guys do what he does, at least effort and heart wise.

When he is there, I think he will still be the guy from the bench. Especially if its his last go, (may not be) Pop could let him play a tad more

Well, he's paid like a top player now so the expectations should be high.

Hopefully a few more passes like this before he calls it a career after this season and one more picture with Ginobili cloaked in his Argentinian flag:
