DJ Khaled gets hate because he's done nothing at all to justify his career. As far as I can tell, he's built a whole career out of yelling "DEE... JAY... KHALED! WE DA BEST! WE TAKIN' OVER!" at the beginning of tracks that other people produced, wrote and performed. It's the audio equivalent of Birdman rubbing his hands together in the background of other people's videos.

Look at the production credits on his albums - very few of the tracks are his own work, a handful tend to be co-produced by him, but most are produced by other people. And then look at all the successful mainstream rappers he needs to feature on every single track of his albums. Can't knock the hustle, but let's not pretend he's some amazing artist.

I'm not saying Calvin Harris or Mark Ronson are the greatest DJs ever, but at least they produce their own shit and don't need to call up Drake, Kanye and Luda to do all the work for them.
