The Clippers have agreed to terms with guard/forward Alan Anderson, multiple sources confirmed.

Anderson adds depth to a wing rotation that includes reserves Luc Mbah a Moute and Wesley Johnson.

The 6-foot-6, 220-pound Anderson is expected to sign a deal for the veteran's minimum, but the length of the contract was not available.

Undrafted out of Michigan State in 2005, the 33-year-old Anderson has averaged 7.8 points and 2.3 rebounds in a seven-year NBA career for Charlotte (now New Orleans), Toronto, Brooklyn and Washington. He spent four years playing in a variety of European leagues.

He signed a mid-level exception with the Wizards last summer when he was coming off ankle surgery. The veteran was coming off a successful stint with the Brooklyn Nets and the Wizards were hoping he could replace some of the scoring and veteran leadership they lost when Paul Pierce signed with the Clippers.

Anderson’s ankle issues resurfaced during training camp, however, and he was forced to go through another procedure, but he was slow to return and played just 13 games last season, scoring a career-low 5 points per game on 36 percent shooting from the field.

The Clippers continue to wait on Pierce, who is considering retirement, to make a decision about his future.
